/ M.Plan. Degree Programmes Advertisement No.6171/EA4/TANCA/2010 Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA) 2010 is administered by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Applications are invited for Admissions to M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Degree Programmes offered in the University Departments of Anna University Chennai, Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy and Anna University Tirunelveli, Government, Government Aided institutions, and seats surrendered by the Self Financing Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu for the academic year 2010-11 through single window (TANCA 2010) counselling. The list of colleges and courses offered for admission through single window system is available in the Anna University Chennai website: www.annauniv.edu/tanca2010. APPLICATION FORM Candidates should submit separate application for each category as given below. (1) GATE Category (GATE-A 2010 score or GATE-B 2010 score with TANCET 2010 score) (2) NON-GATE category (TANCET 2010 score only) (3) Sponsored category (with TANCET 2010 score) only for University Departments of Anna University Chennai. ELIGIBILITY Candidates who have passed in all the subjects in the qualifying degree with TANCET 2010 score or valid GATE A 2010 score or valid GATE B 2010 score with TANCET 2010 score. The details of eligibility criteria for admission to M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch./ M.Plan. degree programmes are available in the Information Booklet and also in the Anna University Chennai website. Candidates who have appeared for final year / semester examinations in April / May 2010 may also apply. Reservation for Differently Abled candidates are available as per the Government norms under GATE / NON-GATE categories. Application forms can be obtained in the following modes: IN PERSON: Application form can be obtained IN PERSON by Cash / Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- for General (Rs. 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate card) towards registration fee at the following Institutions:

-2BY POST: Application form can also be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 600/- for general (Rs. 350/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu by enclosing a copy of Permanent Community Certificate card), (includes postal charges) along with a requisition letter and an address slip written in capital letters from the Secretary, TANCA, Anna university Chennai, Chennai - 600 025. REGISTRATION THROUGH INTERNET: The application form, information and instructions to candidates are available in the website www.annauniv.edu/tanca2010. The print out application and registration fee for Rs. 500/- for General (Rs.250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu by enclosing a copy of Permanent Community Card) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Common Admissions, Anna University Chennai payable at Chennai drawn on or after 29.06.2010, should be sent along with all the enclosures, through registered post / speed post to The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Common Admissions, Anna University Chennai, Chennai 600 025, to reach on or before 19.7.2010 (5.30 p.m.) Counselling date will be intimated to the individuals through a call letter / Anna University Chennai website.

The completed application should reach The Secretary, TANCA 2010, Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai 600 025 on or before 19.07.2010, by 5.30 p.m. Applications received after the due date and time will not be considered at any cost.
Note: Few seats in M.E. (Integrated Water Resources Management) are available for women candidates and eligible for South Asia Water Fellowship (SAWA Fellowship) of Rs.10,000/per month (for which TANCET is not required) but, selection is based on an interview. Separate application has to be filed and on the top of the application write Application for M.E. (IWRM) for SAWA fellowship.
