FORMATION OF DISCIPLINARY BOARD AND CLAUSE Introduction It has been 5 years since the formation of MyPSA in 2006. Now, it is being run by 3RD committees elected from Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2010. Many ideas have been discussed into planning but certain matters have affected the progress in making the ideas successful. Some of the matters are: a. Inactive of participation of the local clubs especially during the Annual General Meetings and Special General Meeting without providing any valid reasons b. Incompetency of certain Executive members Due to these matters, inefficiency of certain progress such as promotion and administrative things is observed. However, there is no clause regarding the disciplinary action has been made in the MyPSA constitution. In order to maintain sustainability of the MyPSA position while increasing the efficiency of any progress related with MyPSA status, a disciplinary board is proposed. In addition, a disciplinary clause is added up in the MyPSA constitution. Objectives This is very vital for the MyPSA to get things planned and carried out for the benefit of the members. With this, the objectives as below can be achieved. a. Increase participation amonglocal club especially the private school. b. To ensure the competency level of the executive members. c. To portray a good image of MyPSA and pharmacy students among pharmacy students, pharmacy schools, MPS and public. Disciplinary Board The disciplinary board consists of the mainboard of the MyPSA which includes: 1. Presidents of the Local Clubs/Societies 2. Contact Persons of each Local clubs/ societies 3. President of MyPSA as the Secretary of the Disciplinary board The Disciplinary Board will be chaired by one person elected among the presidents and contact persons of each pharmacy schools. Secretary does not have any rights to involve during the discretion. Disciplinary Clause 1. On any complaint being made to the Disciplinary Board of misconduct or conduct prejudicial to the interests or welfare of MyPSA, the Disciplinary board will have full power to decide the action of the complaint. 2. A show-cause letter will be issued by the Disciplinary Board to the person who is been charged of any misconduct or conduct prejudicial.

3. Any person who is charged of disciplinary action has the rights to provide a reply letter to defend him/herself with solid and valid reason within 14 days after the show-cause letter has been issued from the Disciplinary Board. 4. Upon discretion of the Disciplinary Board, the action will be commenced immediately. 5. Such misconduct or prejudicial matters include the conviction of court s charges, any incompetency issues and criminal behavior that the Disciplinary Board thinks suitable to be charged. Procedure (In Order) 1. Discuss this proposal in next general meeting on 12th June 2011 and vote its acceptance. 2. Prepare constitutional amendments on disciplinary clause to be presented during AGM in UM. 3. Get the amendments passed by voters. 4. The clause is automatically affected immediately.

With this proposal, MyPSA will be more effective and significant to all pharmacy students in Malaysia.
