Britain

Geography The british isles are a group of islands situated off the continent of Europe. The british state is made up of Great Britian (England, Wales, and Scotland) and Northern Ireland. Its full name is The United kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) . Geographical Feature With an area of about 243,000 sq km, britain is just about 600 miles from north to south, it is therefore possible to travel to any part of the country within one day. Britain is an island country, surrounded by the sea. It is separated from the rest of Europe by the english channel in the south and the no rth sea in the east. The english channel between england and france is quite narrow and the

narrowest part is called the strait of dover. The united kingdom is divided politically into four parts and they are: 1 england England occupies the largest, southern part of Great britain with wales to its west and scortland to its north, which takes up neraly 60%of the whole island.
