ISCF LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2011

When is ISCF Leadership Conference?
Monday 4th - Friday 8th July, 2011 (First week of the July School Holidays)

of Christ Jesus through the faithful teaching and exploration of Gods word. Train and equip them to be leading, serving and living as Christians in their schools. Provide a strong community of encouragement and support. Build and strengthen Christian groups in schools across NSW It promises to be an awesome week of fun, fellowship, and full-on training in leadership, evangelism and discipleship, with students from schools all over NSW. It is inter-denominational and welcomes students from Government, Christian and independent schools.

your lunchtime Christian group at school, training seminars in the past have included topics such as... Writing a Bible Study, Setting up and Running a Lunchtime Christian Group, Personal Life of a Leader, Writing & Giving a Bible Talk, Apologetics handling tough Questions, Using Music & Drama in ISCF & much more! If youre a Year 12 student you will have opportunities to do some study, and we have teachers and university students who can help with tutoring if necessary. Not sure if youre a leader? Never fear! Theres plenty for everyone at Leadership Conference, no matter who you are, and you might just discover some skills you didnt know you had!

Our speaker is Andy Stevenson

Andy believes schools & youth ministries are vital. When he was in Year 11 he realised that he had been in a mission field of over a thousand students for five years, and he had one year to go and do something about it! Since then, God has put this passion on his heart.

Where is ISCF Leadership Conference?

Blue Gum Lodge is a modern Conference Centre located at Springwood in the lower Blue Mountains. It is set among 33 hectares of bushland with extensive grassed areas for sports and games, a tennis court, trampoline, and campfire area. A large, purpose built hall provides facilities for basketball, volleyball, table tennis and other indoor activities. All rooms are carpeted and heated with modern bathrooms, as well as purpose built facilities for the disabled.

Getting there
Students can make their own way to Conference or meet at Central Station to travel with a leader. If travelling by train, it will be a 15 minute walk from Springwood Station to the Conference Centre (a car will take your luggage). Students travelling independently by train will be met at Springwood Station. All travel plans will be confirmed with the Conference Director after registration.

Scripture Union & ISCF

Scripture Union NSW coordinates, supports, and resources the Inter School Christian Fellowship (ISCF), a network of registered lunchtime Christian groups who meet regularly in public high schools to encourage, train and equip Christian students to be a witness for Jesus in their school. There are hundreds of groups across NSW who meet regularly to learn from the Bible, to pray and to build one another up in Christ.

Andy has worked in schools and youth ministry as a youth minister for the last seven years, as well as two years volunteer teaching in schools. He and his wife Kim love Jesus, youth ministry, sport (all sports, but especially cricket and hockey) and hanging outwith friends in cafs.
