INNOVATIVE CONTINUOUS MANDREL PLANT Our absolutely unique LAMELLAR machine for the continuous production of small diameter GRP and GRE pipes is the only one of its kind in the world using an innovative lamellar mandrel instead of the traditional steel band mandrel. Many additional features such as continuous helical winding, resin/sand premixing and online pipe insulation make this plant an extremely versatile option to satisfy various composite pipe applications in many fields. This technology has been patented by VEM, with a European patent no. EP1138465.

PIPE APPLICATIONS: Potable and household water; Industrial, chemical and power plants; Waste and sewer water; Irrigation water; Sea water intake and outfalls; District heating; Process piping; Oil and Gas; Marine; Onshore and offshore.

PIPE DESIGN VARIABLES: Pipe diameters from ND 100 to 800 mm; Nominal Pressure up to 32 bar for GRP, 40 bar for GRE; Stiffness from 1250 to 10.000 N/m2; Joints: sleeve with rubber Reka gaskets, sleeve with a full-face integrated rubber gasket or bonded taper.

GRP/GRE production: ND 100 to 800 mm; Production speeds up to 40 m per hour; IR or UV curing; Sand and resin premixing system for construction of core; 6 heat detectors and plotting of polymerization exothermal curve; Heat exchanger/cooler to control the temperature of the resin; Pipe thickness measurement device; Mandrel heat transfer system; Mechanized internal diameter regulation; Aspiration system for dust and styrene fumes; Electric accelerator device; Temperature controlled sand distribution system.
