FIRST APPLICATION : Sea Cucumber as an alternative medicine:

Sea cucumber or famous name in Asia is called Gamat are echinoderms is from the class of Holothuroidea. In china, sea cucumber also known as sea Ginseng because it can be make into medicine. Sea cucumber is one of the sea creature and live on the sea floor in the deep sea. Sea cucumber is the endoskeleton species that joined by the connective tissues. The reproduction system of the sea cucumber is asexual reproduction. The sea cucumber occur regeneration that is the sea cucumber can regrow into a new individual. The regeneration of sea cucumber is same as the regeneration that occur in starfish. This is because both animal are Echinoderms species that the body can regenerate the new individual. The sea cucumber is an ideal tonic food because it is higher in protein (at 55%) than most any other food except egg whites (at 99%) and it has 10-16% mucopolysaccharides, that be used to build the cartilage. In the sea cucumber oil, it contain two anti-inflammatory fractions. The first one is the fraction that have the fatty acids characteristics like found in the fish. The fatty acids characteristics is being used to reduce the inflammatory byproducts for metabolism and nourish the brain and heart. EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahaenoic acid) also found in sea cucumber. The second fraction that have been found in the sea cucumber is the mixture of branched fatty acid that been used in treatment of asthma and arthritis. The central chain mixture of branched fatty acid is a simple carbohydrate as shown in the Figure 1.0 below:

The sea cucumber can be regenerate to become a new individual because of the central disc of the sea cucumber. If the predator catch or bite the sea cucumber, it will regenerate its new individual like before. This is because the sea cucumber have creature vital organ in its body that can generate the new individual. The regenerating organ is very important to the sea cucumber to survive in the sea with the predators. The central disc that have in the sea cucumber will generate the new cell that develop as the preparation of fission. The cell division will take a long time to perfect like the previous individual. The time to sea cucumber to complete regeneration is around one year. The regeneration organ will stop function when the cell in the organ achieve its limit to generate the new cells. As the regeneration of the sea cucumber occur in itself, the uses of the sea cucumber oil will make human life more comfortable. For the example, the sea cucumber oil have been put into the scratch on the humans skin, the regeneration that occur in the sea cucumber also be the same to human. This clearly when the central disc cell in the sea cucumber still will be functional well like at the original sea cucumber. This is because the cell still be functioning as the oil in a good condition.
