Whole brain development is a process that incorporates both the
left and right sides of the brain. In order to maximize the use of the brain,
it's encouraged to use both sides, thus the name whole brain development.

BrainCarve is a research based Organization focusing on brain development
of children between the age of 5 to 16 years developed by
Dr.B.Parameswari. BrainCarve is one of the premier companies that have
made a paradigm shift in brain development than any medicine or
education could accomplish. BrainCarve has come up with 6 techniques
combining Vedic knowledge, memory, mathematics, creativity etc., all
intended to change the way a child thinks or acts.
The BRAINCARVE program is a 'whole' brain development program
combining the Foreign and Indian methods of learning - The Abacus system
with the Western Science & Vedic Maths with the Indian Science.
This program follows a 6 in 1 approach, where students are taught six
different techniques in one single course.

This technique teaches the children to use the 10 fingers to count up to 99

and as well add, subtract. Performing calculation using this technique, it is
proved that the child activates both left and right sides of the brain. The
brain theory says that the left side brain is wired with the right side of the
body and vice versa during such activities

During this practice they need to co-ordinate all the six senses together.
They need to look, hear, listen, move, speak and think rationally. Only if the
children coordinate all these together they can arrive at the correct
answer. This needs good mind and whole body coordination. Once they
start using both their hands, obviously left and right brain activation
starts.

One can coordinate all the senses only if they have concentration and
when one has enough concentration it means they have attained a state of
Yoga and meditation and we also claim that when they use both the hands
both sides of the brain gets activated which is a proven fact!!!

The basic idea is to make the children make use of both their hands and
bring in the coordination between the body and the mind. Here we
prepare the child to understand the basic concepts of Abacus. To say
simply it is the pre – preparation step for the usage of Abacus.
 Vedic Mathematics

Vedic Mathematics as taught today relates language sense and application skill of a person. It is a system of
calculation aimed at speed and accuracy which increases counting and computational abilities. It helps in the
coordination of the right and the left brain. We offer courses at Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels.

 Abacus

Abacus is a computing skill which uses physical elements to relate answer and memory! Handling the
abacus instrument with both the hands helps in triggering the left and right brain. The left brain is in
charge of logic, literacy & numerical, analytical and sequential facts whereas the right brain is
responsible for color, music, imagination, sense, rhyming, daydreaming, patterned and overall thinking.
Before computers and calculators, the abacuses teach children about numbers. From ancient times,
teachers have been teaching mathematics using an abacus. The ancient calculating tool puts math at
your student's fingertips, increasing visual and auditory memory, concentration and improving their
attitudes towards learning
One particular use for the abacus is teaching children simple mathematics and especially multiplication;
the abacus is an excellent substitute for rote memorization of multiplication tables, a particularly
detestable task for young children. The abacus is also an excellent tool for teaching other base
numbering systems since it easily adapts itself to any base
In this entire course we have taken maths as a medium or tool to move the beads and fingers. The effect
is not only shown in maths but in all subjects. Here we give the children the real abacus. It is clear from
the research that the right brain gets activated tremendously when the child touches the abacus. Our
children start to learn and this helps them increase the concentration level. Because in this we have
some special practice called oral calculations.
We call out the sums and the child is expected to work out with the real abacus and give the answers.
Here we don't repeat the question. Thus we increase their listening capacity. And when the child is
moving to the next level he/she is supposed to work out multiplication sums of higher digits. For
example when the child is expected to multiply a five digit number by another five digit number he or
she is expected to recite the tables twenty five times (All different ones). Naturally the concentration
increases. They are expected to remember all these so their memory power also becomes stronger.
MIND ABACUS
After giving enough practice to move the beads (+,-,*, /) they are simultaneously taught how to use the
mind abacus where imagination involves.
The child has to imagine the abacus in the mind and move the beads in the air as he/she does with the
real abacus. With the same finger movement as we use thumb to add the lower beads and index finger
to add the upper bead and minus the lower and upper bead as well.
Slowly we train the children to solve all the sums which they work out with abacus, and without abacus.
Here we train them to visualize the abacus. This becomes the magic moment where they start; getting
trained to use their right brain. When they go for the higher levels they are expected to multiply a five
digit number by another five digit number. Here again they have to recite the tables, 25 different tables.
Naturally their concentration and memory power increases. Over a period of time we can see a
remarkable change in all their performances not just in maths but in all other subjects.

Dr.B.Parameswari holds Masters in Physics and in Information Studies from

Madurai Kamaraj University. She is among the few in the field to hold a double
Doctorate in the fields of Information Studies and ABACUS.

She started her career at Madurai Kamaraj University as a Lecturer in the

Department of Information Studies. She is a PGDCA and Oracle Certified
Professional from USA. She has worked with several top MNCs in the field of
ABACUS. She has several journal publications to her credit both in print and
online media. Her journal has been published in INFORMATION PHILOSOPHY
foreign journals. She has conducted seminars and attended international
conferences on Information Technology. She has been an active member of
WAMMA (World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic) Organization.

She has been leading the top MNC as a Chief Moderator, was leading the
Trainers and the Course Instructors all over the world. She has travelled to
countries like China, Malaysia, Singapore, USA and UK for her research and to
conduct workshops periodically in the advanced concepts of Brain
Development and all her life time she has spent in learning.

With a deeper understanding of Western and Indian traditional education, she

has pioneered the creation of the unique BrainCarve program which is one of

About Implementation

1. The program is designed for 3 years for schools i.e. 8 months in a year for 2 level completions
taking the holidays into account (Total – 6 levels).

2. We believe in George Bush’s saying of “No child left behind”.

3. The BRAINCARVE PROGRAM would be conducted within the school hours in the respective classes.

4. The courses will be taught by your teachers trained by the Creator herself at FREE OF COST.

5. a) In-School Curriculum - The Monthly Fees for the Program would be Rs.300/child/month being
the strength of the children undergoing the course is not less than 500 and from the class 1st std - 9th std as
Extra-Curricular Activity.
b) After - School Curriculum - The Monthly Fees for the Program would be Rs.800/child/month
being the strength of the children undergoing the course is not less than 150 and from the class
1st std - 9th std as After School Activity
