Also, uninstalling and installing Autodesk DWF Viewer while Autodesk Buzzsaw o r any other application is open can cause problems. Before installing and runnin

g the Autodesk DWF Viewer, close all open applications and uninstall earlier ver sions of Autodesk DWF Viewer and Beta versions of Autodesk DWF Composer. Known Problems & Limitations Installing an Earlier Version of Autodesk DWF Viewer Installing an earlier version of Autodesk DWF Viewer over Autodesk DWF Viewer 5 causes an unstable viewer environment. If you install AutoCAD after installing t his Autodesk DWF Viewer 5, an earlier version of Autodesk DWF Viewer is automati cally installed. If this happens, uninstall Autodesk DWF Viewer and download and re-install the latest release of Autodesk DWF Viewer at http://www.autodesk.co m/dwfviewer-download. DWF File Association and Installing or Uninstalling Autodesk DWF Viewer When you install Autodesk DWF Viewer, the DWF file extension is associated with Autodesk DWF Viewer (unless Autodesk DWF Composer is already installed). This me ans that when you double-click a DWF file in Microsoft File Explorer, Autodesk D WF Viewer automatically starts and opens the file. If you uninstall Autodesk DW F Viewer, the file association is removed. To associate the DWF file extension w ith another software package, consult your Windows Help file for instructions on changing the program that opens a file. Note that if you have DWF Composer inst alled, the DWF file extension remains associated with DWF Composer. Installing o r uninstalling Autodesk DWF Viewer does not change the DWF file extension associ ation in that case. Viewing Multiple DWF Files on an HTML Page If you have embedded multiple DWF files in an HTML page, IE may be very slow to open the DWF files, or it may appear to hang. If this happens, use the following instructions to increase the amount of disk space used in your temporary intern et files folder: 1. From the IE Tools menu, choose Internet Options. 2. On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files box, click Settin gs. 3. On the Settings dialog box, in the Temporary Internet Files box, incr ease the Amount of Disk Space to Use. Note: A guideline for determining how much space to use is to add togeth er the sizes of all DWF files on the HTML page. Increase the Amount of Disk Spac e to Use to a number higher than the sum of the DWF file sizes. Embedding 3D DWF Files in Office Applications When you embed a 3D DWF file in an Office Application, a preview of the drawing is not displayed until you exit design mode. To see the DWF file display, click the Design button to exit Design Mode.
