Scomi Oiltools, a subsidiary of public listed Scomi Group Bhd, is a leading provider of innovative drilling fluid solutions and engineering services, drilling waste management services and solutions, waste water treatment and production chemicals. Also participating together at Scomis booth are Scomi Sosma, Scomi Marine, iTS Scomi and Scomis integrated Drilling Solutions. Scomi has been participating in every OGA since 2005. This year the focus will be on the range of Scomi new solids control equipment and also on the water treatment system, immaPure and tank cleaning system clean-in-Place. Looking at providing integrated solutions for drilling, Scomi is developing partnerships with various companies and hence is at OGA with some of those companies providing completion tools and wellbore clean-up tools. The tank cleaning system is an excellent equipment process as it requires zero man entry into the tank. it is an automated system that can clean tanks within hours generating only 10% of the usual waste. A proven testimony is their own project in Labuan where the system is used to clean 4 tanks in 12 hours whereas it would usually have taken 30 men moving in and out of the tanks and up to 4 days to complete. The immaPure Water Treatment system meets the highest regulations and we can clean drilling waste or produced water with an output of < 5ppm of dispersed oil in water. OGA has always been a major event for his.
