Three years ago we decided to try a trip with UofT Alumni Travel.
In 2008, we travelled to Antarctica. In our bright red parkas we ventured ashore in zodiacs to get up close and personal with a variety of penguins. We saw whales, seals, and spectacular scenery. We even swam in the Antarctic Ocean in a thermally heated narrow band close to shore. In 2009, we journeyed to Egypt, a long awaited trip which did not disappoint the history, pyramids, temples, the Nile, a felucca sail, camel ride. This year it was Africa Tanzania & Zanzibar! Our safari experiences have left us with many special memories the hippo pool, a wildebeeste giving birth, elephants, lions, cheetah, leopards, etc. These were our first experiences with group travel and we never felt too structured. We avoided the usual stressful situations such as making reservations, finding accommodation and guides. On each of our trips we met wonderful people our superb guides, the tour directors, and our fellow travellers. Bill and Wilma Rhodes 3 trips with U of T
