Inside this issue:

Division 25C Key Clubbers, and impactful summer this year with over 1200 hours recorded so far for the summer of Division 25C. Awesome job! This month we all need to work on getting those summer pride reports in, setting goals for the new year, and recruiting new members for the upcoming year. Remember that the MEMBERS are the most important part of Key Club. Try and make it to your freshmen orientation, decorate your school with posters about what is Key Club and how you can join. Remember we want to make Key Club a household name so spread the word and act on our Key Club values, do service this month!! Yours In Service,

Service DCM at Amelia Earhart

This past month we held a joint service project and Divisional Council Meeting. At Amelia Earhart Park we helped to beautify the mountain trail areas, sat by the lake for refreshments, and held our DCM. Picking up countless logs and rocks we paved the way for park goers to ride safe and not get caught in the mud. Though it was hot and buggy volunteers were satisfied at the end of the day with their hard work! Some of the topics we discussed was our Divisional Eliminate fundraiser. For our Eliminate fundraiser we will be holding a Peanut Day/Lemonade Stand at a few of the area Publixes where each Key Club will be challenged to raise $200 and save 100 babies. Thanks goes out to Gianna, Amanda T., Kimberly, and Charles for attending!

Teamwork!!

OUR NEXT DCM IS AUG. 29TH! SEE PG. 3 FOR DETAILS!

New Definition of Major Emphasis!
Our Trustee Jared has informed us that over their first board meeting Leadcon, they discussed the need to clarify the Major Emphasis Program and spent a copious amount of time debating wording and intent of the major emphasis program. The Board determined that in reality there is no program, there is simply an emphasis and thus a change in wording and name were needed. The International Boards amendment to the new policy is as follows: 1. Definition of Major Emphasis Program The Major Emphasis shall be the theme of Key Club International. Any project completed on a local scale by member clubs pursuant to the theme of Children: Their Future, Our Focus shall be considered projects of representative of the major emphasis. The major emphasis shall include all member club projects, special partnerships, and service initiatives designated by the Board of Trustees in keeping with the them" So what does this mean? Any project that has to do with helping children will now count as being apart of Major Emphasis. This broad opportunity is a great way for everyone to participate in Major Emphasis. Carry out Key Clubs vision and save the children of the world!
