orders of the Government and of Hon'ble Supreme Court on the Anti-Ragging measures. As per the latest policy all students and parent/guardians are required to submit an affidavit before a student is allowed for admission in the College. The format of Affidavits can be obtained from College office on a Non-Judicial paper of Rs.10/- duly attested by the oath commissioner/notary. All parents/guardian/students may submit the same and get them duly attested by the Oath commissioner and bring it on the day of students admission. Kindly note that there are two Affidavits as Annexure-I & II. The Annexure-I is to be signed by the student and Annexure-II shall be signed by the parent / guardian. In case a student does not submit the same he/she shall not be allowed to the classes. It is further, requested that this information be passed amongst friends. Best wishes,

Sub:-Formation of Institute level anti-ragging committee and squads Reg. Implementation of the guidelines framed by PCI Ref: 14-1 / 2006 PCI / pt. I As per the directions of Supreme Court of India/ University/ PCI the Institute has formed the following Anti-ragging committees and squads for overseeing the implementation of the provisions of the verdict with immediate effect: 1) Anti-ragging Committee: 1. Rajarajeswari .N 2. Kumar holla.K 3. Anil Kumar .K.V 4 Veeregowda 2) Anti-ragging Squads 1. Rajarajeswari .N 2. Veeregowda The Anti-ragging Squad shall work in co-ordination with the Antiragging committee and oversee the implementation of the recommendations. Punishments: Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the AntiRagging Committee of the University, the possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging at the University level shall be any one or any combination of the following: 1. Cancellation of admission. 2. Suspension from attending classes. 3. Withholding / withdrawing scholarship / fellowship and other benefits. 4. Debarring from appearing in any test / examination or other evaluation process 5. Withholding results. 6. Debarring from representing the University in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc. 7 Suspensions / expulsion from the hostel. 8. Rustication from the college and University for period varying from 1 to 4 years. 9. Expulsion from the college and consequent debarring from admission to any other college. 10. Rigorous imprisonment of three years and / or a fine of upto Rs.25,000/-

11. Collective punishment:- When the persons committing or abetting the crime or ragging are not identified, the college shall resort to collective punishment as a deterrent to ensure community pressure on the potential raggers. As per the instruction of PCI / Supreme Court of India, each of the student of the Institute and his/her parents and, or Guardian are hereby required to submit an affidavit at the time of registration/ admission, in the prescribed format as attached to this order, which is mandatory for admission.

Notification regarding Prevention of Ragging An affidavit by the student and also by the Parent / Guardian is mandatory to be submitted at the time of registration to the forthcoming year in connection with Anti Ragging Drive. This is the text of the affidavits to be submitted by every student and also separately by the Parent / Guardian available in college office. All students of VIPS, are required to submit the above affidavits at the time of admission. The affidavits need to be on the stamp paper of Rs 10=00 duly attested by the Oath Commissioner / Notary. The above submission is compulsory as per the guidelines of the PCI & RGUHS and the Honble Supreme Court in respect of the Anti-Ragging Drive. It is mandatory to submit the above affidavits failing which their admission shall not be treated as valid.
