Business Analyst role working within the Equity Derivatives Trade Processing area, delivering strategic solutions that realise business benefits across all departments

Role/Team Summary: This position has arisen as a result of the group wide project initiatives designed to improve the overall strategic processing, meet regulatory requirements and integration throughout GBM globally. Specifically this role is within the technology group responsible for delivering solutions to the Equities Business in the Trade Processing area. Supporting key clients throughout the business this team is responsible for delivering high quality solutions which operate Front to Back through the trade processing life-cycle. These roles will be working alongside business subject matter experts as well as users defining requirements and solutions for projects in the trade processing space including Transaction reporting and Client valuations. The successful candidate will have to be able to work independently as well as be a good team player with global and regional counterparts on requirement analysis, integration and deployment of global systems. The key responsibility of the position is to support the programme manager in the delivery of assigned projects on behalf of Equity Derivatives Technology, including: Feasibility analysis of proposed new projects and project change requests Documentation of requirements and agreement with stakeholders Identification of technical and business process solutions Development of delivery plans Management and stakeholder reporting of project progress, risks and issues Review of project quality following completion Ensuring appropriate communication to all stakeholders during the life of the project Management of delivery process execution including management where appropriate Day to day the successful candidate will have responsibility for: Adherence to project standards and procedures relevant to the department Escalate major project conflicts for prioritisation and resolution if irresolvable at the project team level Work closely with identified stakeholders to define specific business problems and develop solution options for those problems Produce or participate in the production of key project artefacts in accordance with the GBM methodology Ensure compliance with the project management controls applicable to each phase of the project as set out above Essential Experience: (Must have skills)

Experience in delivering projects in an investment banking arena and also have good knowledge of exchange traded securities and Equity Derivatives Experience in delivering projects to several or all of areas involved in the business process including sales, trading, finance, middle

office, operations and risk Strong analytical skills in change management and hands on experience and problem solving skills Understanding of the dynamics of a complex project environment and an awareness of the strategic issues Experienced in evaluating and improving business effectiveness through analysis of processes, procedures and control systems You will be required to demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to resolve issues with win-win mentality Analytical and creative problem solving skills Technical skills to support data analysis including an appropriate familiarity with XML, SQL and Excel Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)

Familiarity of a range of different project delivery lifecycles and supporting methods would be advantageous Good understanding of a range of financial derivative products would be helpful including option pricing, futures and options trading strategies
