End of an Era - Bin Laden s Death Abbottabad which is now known as Bin Laden s city has always been

a peaceful and serene place. I, being one of the natives of this peaceful city found it hard to believe that Bin Laden was living in my very own Abbottabad. This article is going to provide the story of what actually happened that night and some of the basic facts on Bin Laden s death. What seemed to be a very predictable night turned out to be a rather unpredictable one when helicopters suddenly started flying over the city? The strange thing was that the helicopters were heading towards a certain place. While I was trying to figure out the reason for the unusual helicopter flights we heard a loud blast. It was so loud and strong that the doors and the windows started rattling for a few minutes. I switched on the TV and all we could see was a news update that a blast was heard in Abbottabad. Since it was late, I went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning the first thing I heard was the news that shook the world. Bin Laden died, in Abbottabad, in my very own city and that too, last night. While we hear TV channels babble about how Bin Laden was shot dead in the US SEAL raid, some of the eye witnesses, who belong to the same areas, have different views. Local channels in Abbottabad have shown a few witnesses who lived right next to what is now known as Bin Laden s Mansion. They stated that there was no firing to be heard that night. Even if we choose not to believe these witnesses, we have to find answer to the following question. y If Bin Laden was actually dead, why weren t any official pictures of the dead body released?

One of the Pakistani Local Urdu Newspapers stated that the person who was killed in the SEAL raid wasn t Bin Laden; it was in fact a person named Al Zain. The house was suspicious no matter what the media says. The neighbors say that whenever a cricket ball accidently went into the mansion while their children played cricket in the ground close by, they were given 50 Rs. instead of the ball. They wouldn t let anyone in. However strange that it may sound one child claims that he used to go inside the house and that he was gifted two rabbits! He also states that there were cameras outside the house which were used to see who was near the house. There s a conflict between what media is portraying and what the neighbors are telling. Some neighbors even stated that there were no weapons found from the house! Some sources say that Bin Laden didn t want his children to be a part of Al Qaeda. His will has also been released which states that he doesn t want his wives to re-marry after his death and his children to join Al Qaeda. However, the truth cannot be determined unless we know the reality of the operation that happened that night. I think the real account on Bin Laden s death can only be determined if the US Government releases the operation video. If Bin Laden has actually died, then it is end of an era for Al Qaeda because the mere presence of Bin Laden strengthened Al Qaeda.
