GODS WILL FOR YOUR LIFE

DOING THE WILL OF GOD The most foundational and essential pursuit in Christian living. -Psalm 143:40 Lord, teach me to do your will... -Luke 22:42, John 5:30, 6:38, Acts 21:14, Romans 1:10, 15:32 * The will of God is not lost, obscure, hidden, etc. * The will of God has to do with anything in our lives as Christians. * We ought to pray that Gods will be done in our life. +Divine Providence : Massively significant description of the character of God who can take the infinite number of human contingencies & work them to His own glorious ends. + HOW do I know GODS WILL? It doesnt depend on intuition, serendipity, etc. It is placed in His Word, The BIBLE. + WHAT are GODS WILL(s) for MY LIFE? (1.) For you to BE SAVED To be delivered from sin, judgment and sin (eternal damnation). 1 Timothy 2:3, 2 Peter 3:9 Embrace the Son (Jesus Christ) & put your trust in Him. -1 John 2:17, John 6:38-40 If you arent even saved, you dont have the right to ask God to disclose His will in your life. (2.) For you to BE SPIRIT-FILLED Ephesians 5:17-21 UNDERSTAND the will of God, rather than to be drunk with wine (to be controlled). Filling in a controlling sense, not static, and to be controlled by the Holy Spirit. - John 16:6, Luke 6:11 ALCOHOL (being drunk) controlling substance that makes a person lose control and conscience. -- Ancient world = drinking, sexual orgies, etc. are used to worship FALSE gods (demonic act). - Romans 8:9, Ephesians 6:1 SPIRIT-CONTROLLED LIFE: A life of worship and joy made right in the family and environment of the world. Colossians 3:16 3.) For you to BE SANCTIFIED Sanctification : Separation from sin 1Thessalonians 4 i.e. a. Abstain from sexual immorality : Relationships must be in a PURE level.

b. Handle youre your body in a pure way. (v.4) c. Handle your body in a way that HONORS GOD. d. No one should transgress/defraud his brother (dont take advantage of other people for any reason). LOVE is Noble. - 1 Peter 4:2 : Live for the will of God, not for the flesh. - STOP Lusting! (v.6,7,8) (4.) For you to BE SUBMISSIVE - Humility James 4:7 Submit to God Ephesians 5 Submit to one another Hebrews 13 Submit to those that are over you in the Lord (Pastors, Elders, Leaders, etc.) 1 Peter 2:13 Submit to every human institutions (Kings, Government, etc.) : To be a good citizen (5.) For you to SUFFER (for doing what is right) 1 Peter 3:17, 2:20, 4:19 To suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong (suffering due to sin is discipline) Suffering is what perfects you. (acc. to Gods will) Facing this hostile world with such a Godly fashion, living such a Godly life that it will bring reproach, scorn, difficulty and alienation from family and friends, etc., and all of that suffering will cause God to perfect you. Counting it all joy 1 Peter 5:10, Timothy 3:12, 2 Corinthians 12 (6.) For you to BE THANKFUL 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Constant joy, prayer and thanksgiving ** If you are able to apply/follow the six guidelines on Gods will(s), you can DO WHATEVER YOU WANT Because your wants and desires are controlled by the Holy Spirit. ** You can marry, live, work, and choose whatever you want, because Gods will for you in those areas will be revealed and controlled by Godconsidering that you follow the six guidelines as based on the Bible.
