TYAT NEEDS YOU!!! The Tongan Youth Association of Texas has big dreams not only for our youth but for the Tongan Community of Texas as a whole. Our primary goal is to give our youth a helping hand to becoming successful in school, in our community and make a positive impact on the world at large through higher education. In order to do this, we need more volunteers to make these dreams a reality. We will be holding a TYAT meeting on August 16th, at 6 p.m. where attending members will be voted into positions on the TYAT board. Previous members and newcomers are encouraged to attend. For adults this is a chance to help our Tongan youth become well rounded leaders of tomorrow by our guiding hands. For students this is an opportunity to have your voices heard, gain experience as part of a committee, build up your resume and prepare for life after high school. Let us join together to give our Tongan Youth a lifetime of positive learning experiences. We are in desperate need of parents from Bell HS, Haltom HS, Richland HS, Grand Prairie, Colleyville, Grapevine, Irving, Fort Worth, etc., etc. to help. The meeting will he held inside the Hall of Flags at Trinity High School. Park near the flags facing Hwy. 157. Light snack will be provided.
Welcome Four New Members to TYAT!!! Dolly Cocker, Nila Kasitati, Christian Cocker and Seiloni Vakauta. To become a member you must attend a certain number of meetings and work on a specific project with other Committee members. We are looking for serious people interested in actually doing something to help the Tongan youth of Texas succeed academically. If you are that person, please contact anyone on the Committee. Youre willingness to work with us is more valuable than your social standing in the community, your education level, family connections, etc. CALL US TODAY! Malo Aupito.
