Mind Control

Languag e
Patterns

Providing
and

Deleting Options So now you're aware

of

four levels
of

perception and four levels

of

influence that can

be used to give you more power and control. Asense

of

power comes about when you

become aware
of

what other people don't

usually consider. Because most people

aren't aware
of

theselevel s
of

perception , your power can grow by increasing or

decreasin gthe options that you offer people at

these levels. What follows are fourtypes

of

informatio n. With each level, the informatio n gets

more complex. Binary Informatio n (All

or

Nothing, Good
or
Bad,

Black
or

White) Thi s
is

the most limiting

of

informatio n options.
It

means the informati on will

only fall into one category, or it will not. Used in

itsdarkest form, a religious cult will ask its members

to divide everything into us/them categories.

In

terms
of

language patterns, it means describin

g something in binary terms -good or bad.Bette

rlWorse Informati on There

is

more flexibility

when there are more options. Here, choic es are not

binary but have a rank -this one is better tha

n that one.What
is

absent with this informatio

n is how much better/wor se somethin g is,

compared to its counterpar t. There is no gradient or

scale.Scal ed Informatio n (rating on 1 to 10 0) Here,

the informatio n
is

provided on a

gradient scale that startsat zero, or nothing, and goes

to any extreme. With this quality

of

informati on you can provide informatio n that is "good

enough" or "not badenoug h," and thus influence a

decision the subject can make.Com

plex Relat ionship

Information

This
is

the level
of

informatio n with the greate st degree

of

variabilit y and therefore, the greatest freedom

and flexibility. This quality

of

infonnatio n contains

certain traits that can ranked on a gradient, andthere

be

are relationshi ps between certain traits.U sin

g this mod el mind control and the

of

various levels perception , you can add and delete

of

infonnatio n with varied qualities at

thevarious levels
of

infonnatio n. Thus someone

if

is

stuck at seeing something in binary tenns (good or

bad), you can go up enough levels to givethem flexibility

of

choice. Once they are directed to the decision

youwant, you can go back down to the binary level

of

infonnatio n and callit "good."

It

should be noted, the

difference between counseling /therapyan d mind control.

Generally, therapy
is

designed to help a person movefrom

a narrower to a broader range

of

perspectiv es, all for the benefit

of

the individual. Mind

Control, by compariso n, interested in the resultsas it

is

relates to the controller, and perspectiv es can be

broadened andnarrow ed to suit the end result. To better

understan d this process, let'slook at some example.

(Binary Iriformatio n) There

is an

experienc e that almosteve ryone has shared

of

overhearin g
an

interesting conversati on and

knowing w hat every word mea ns, but still having to focus in

on the words, so that you can follow what

is

being said. (BetterlWo rse Informatio n).

You

then realizethat you/ve mo ved from hearing

just

the words
to

understan ding the concepts and

principles that are being discussed.

And

so the topic becomes interesting to you. (Scaled

Informatio n), so as you pay more attention,

youstart to learn.
The

words which

were really
just

soundsno w have even

greater meaning, because this

is

something new to you that 's interesti ng. (Compl ex Informa

tion). Now you can begin to wonder how

it

is

you are able

to

take
in

informatio n so well, an d use it to make changes

in

yourlife. That type

of

informatio n has a

quality all it's

own.

Here
is

an example

taken from the book "Understa nding Advanced Hypnotic

Language Patterns" by John Burton Ed.D.

(Binary Informatio n) Have you ever been riding

in

acar... . but you were a passenger

in

the
car,

maybe
in

thefront seat
...

and you were

just

looking out the window, Page 14www.Mi ndControI

down at the

roadside, watching the edge of the road as

youpassed along? You noticed how incredibly

fast the roadpasse d beneath you, how landmark after

landmark f lew by. It seemed ex tremely fa

st. (Better/ Worse Informatio n). Thenm aybe you decided

to look
just

a bit furth er
off

the road maybe to a front yar d, as you passed

by.
And

then the nextfront yard, as y ou passed,

noticing that the yards passedby more slowly. It

took longer for them to

go

by
-

or really,

for

you to
go

by them. ( Scaled Info rmation).

And

thenmayb e you decided to look even further

off

the roadsidean d noticed t he houses, or

beyond th ese, behin d the hous es.

And

you noticed how much more slowly these

passed,or you actually pa ssed them . This seems

much slower(Co mplex Info rmation), a nd then

you

decided to look evenfurth er

off

in

the distance, perhaps to the uttermost edge

of the horizon or maybe up at a cloud in

the sky, way

off

in the distance.

You know how clouds can sometimes appear in the

shapes of something else famili ar, like a dog or

aboat or something else?

And

you can start at

a cloud w ay
off

in the distance, n

ot really knowing quite what shape is

it

taking, but also noticing that it seems to be

completely still, not moving at all, and how paradoxic

al this stillnessfe els. You

know you are moving,

and

yet at the same

time, comp letely stillcompletel y still, as

youfix

your eyes uponthis cloud that remains in

constant view, knowing thatthere are other clouds

in other plac es that are in

constantvi ew as well, appe aring com pletely still .

And

now a soft,still, c alm feelin g steals

down insid e, and you

find

you mayabsor

b this feeling,
just

like a soft, absor bent

cloud withi nyou that soaks up the feeling , saturatin

Control Languag e Patterns

Using

Your

Voice
To Control

Emotions: Tones
and

Pacing Whi le the focus will be on the words themselve

s, you'll findthat the tonality and pace

of

speech are very important when deliveringl anguage

patterns. Please note that what

is

described here
is

specifically for English.

Other languages have their own rules regarding

voice tonality. The Flat Tone Consider the words,

"You will lift that bag."

If

spoken
in

a flatmonoto ne, then it simply describes what will

happen, as
if

reading froma todo list.

The Rising Ton e

It

begins to sound like

a question, when you say, "You will liftthat bag," with a rising

tone. This could be a question or a statement, said

in

a rising tone. A question

is

an acknowled gment
of

uncertaint y,so even

if

spoken like a statement, it sounds uncertain and weak

The Downward Tone When spoken

with a downward tone, "You will lift that bag"beco

mes an order, command or imperative .An

understan ding
of

rising, downward and flat

tones will giveyou a clue about how to modify the impact

of

the words you use. Perhaps you want to make a

suggestion but don't want to give it a strongimp act. In that

case, you say it

in

a rising (questioni ng) tone.

For example, saying "Maybe you can choose

this path?" has a different impacttha n when said

in

lowering tones. Pace of Speech

The pace
of

speech has a stronger impact

than one might think.One way

of

noticing this
is

by speaking

at the pace
of

your breathing. Begin by

simply noticing your breath when not

speaking. The length the inhale will be

as
of

long as the exhale. When speaking, we modify ourbreathi

ng, because we only speak when exhaling.

Therefore, inhaleswill be shorter than the exhales. When we

pace our voice to the naturalrhy thm

of

our breathing, the attenti on

of

the listener
is

subtly altered.

Page 16www.M indContro ILanguag ePatterns .com

Mind Control Language Patterns

When speaking,

there is a pause during the inhale, which

is

usually not noticed, but tends to have the

unconscio us effect
of

creating anticipati on. When it

is

followed by speech or the continuati on

of

the sentence, there

is

an unconscio us sense
of

relief.As you speak

at the pace
of

your breath, you are creating a

subtle cycle
of

anticipatio n and relief

in

the listener. They are anticipatin gyour next words and

feeling relief when they hear

it.

That
is

quite a compelling power. When it is working, you

willmost likely notice the face

of

the listener,

gazing intently and hanging

on

to your every word, without blinking.A

nother example
of

pace
of

speech is often

referred to as "thevoice roll," that

is

very common among evangelica l

preachers. The pace

of

the voice roll

is

a bit faster than the pace

of

breath, but the effect

isthe same. Voice roll

is

usually delivered at the rate

of

forty-five to sixtybeats

per minute,
in

order to maximize the

hypnotic effect. EXERCISE: Listen to your own voice as

you speak. Most people have a verymonot one voice,

even when they are passionate about what they arespeakin

g. Pick a sentence to read aloud and change

the tonality
of

eachword. Read
it

with a questionin g tone. Then read it as

if

it were a comman d. Begin to notice how the tonality

of

your voice can impact themeanin g
