Forcing him despite his infirmity to leave his wheelchair behind, police took Mr. Jahednorouzi to the detention center in Limassol, Cyprus. The police informed him that he would be deported tonight at 12:00. If Cyprus deports Mr. Jahednorouzi, a political asylum-seeker with extensive documentation of his political activities in opposition to the Islamic Republic of Iran over the years, it will be a breach of International law and will put Mr. Jahednorouzi's health and well-being, and possibly his life, at risk. According to Mr. Jahednorouzi's lawyer, documents in Hadi's case were refused admittance into the record by Cypriot authorities, and his rejection decision was implemented without having all available evidence at hand. his visa with dates starting in 2001, the Asylum Service asserts that Mr. Jahednorouzi only entered Cyprus in 2005 and thereby omits from the record all of the political opposition organizing and activism that he engaged in during those years. Mr. Jahednorouzi's anti-Islamic Republic activities can be divided into two eras: during his time in Iran, and while in Cyprus (sur place): While in Iran, Mr. Jahednorouzi reports that he was arrested three times in connection with his political activities, including the reproduction and dissemination of anti-regime literature. Mr. Jahednorouzi reports that he and his family were incessantly persecuted in Iran and his mother murdered. While in Cyprus (sur place), Mr. Jahednorouzi actively organized against the Islamic Republic, as well as participated in numerous documented and photographed protest actions over the years as a recognized member of a number of opposition organizations including: - The Iranian National Front, - The United Front of Iranian Nationalists, and - The Cyprus Refugee Rights Movement. Mr. Jahednorouzi's lawyer has stated the following on the record, as documented by the Cypriot Asylum Service, in their letter rejecting Mr. Jahednorouzi's application for asylum: 1) Mr. Jahednorouzi's case has been decided too quickly by the Cyprus Asylum Service. 2) Not enough research has been done to properly inform a decision on Mr. Jahednorouzi's case; 3) The reasons given by the Cypriot Asylum Service for rejection of his case are not sufficient to deny him asylum. 4) Other supporting documents were supplied by the lawyer for Mr. Jahednorouzi's case, but the asylum officer refused to admit them into Hadi's file. Thus, Mr. Jahednorouzi's asylum application has been rejected without these documents being taken into consideration.
