Back to Sunday School

Its time to enroll in Sunday School at 10 AM on Sundays at New Testament Baptist Church. In September, we are encouraging our church family to start attending Sunday School. Sunday School is NOT just for children and teens. It is a vital teaching ministry of our church. To encourage adults to attend Sunday School, our Pastor has arranged an incentive for our adults. Each time an adult attends Sunday School in the month of September, there name will be placed in a drawing for an exciting lunch at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa. As a bonus, when an adult attends the Sunday evening service in September, their name will be placed in the drawing for the lunch at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa. One adults name will be selected to enjoy a Fall luncheon at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa on Saturday, October 1. The winning adult may select another adult of their choice to fly in a private plane (Cessna 182) from Butler, Pennsylvania, to the private airstrip at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa. At Nemacolin, the couple will enjoy a lunch at one of Nemacolins 5-star restaurants. You will have a chance to stroll through the shops before boarding your plane and returning to Butler. Its a unique opportunity to see the Fall colors of western Pennsylvania like youve never seen them before! Lets dedicate ourselves to attending Sunday School on a regular basis.

Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question.

We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23). We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned. We need a Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9). Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived without sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour (Romans 5:8; John 3:16). Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as Gods children (Romans 10:9, 13).

Where Will I Spend Eternity?

Getting the Out of Church - Part One It is important that people get the most out of church services, if they are going to take the time to attend the services. One of the ways that people can get more out of the services on Sunday is to get a good nights rest on Saturday evening. Too many of Gods people are Saturday Night Live, but Sunday Morning Dead-Tired. Avoid staying up late on Saturday by watching television, playing video games, or surfing the internet. A good nights rest will help keep you alert and responsive in church.
