Mat 5:17-20 ESV

(17) "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come
to abolish them but to fulfill them.
(18) For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will
pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
(19) Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches
others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever
does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
(20) For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees,
you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it.

Luk 2:25-32 ESV

(25) Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was
righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was
upon him.
(26) And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death
before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
(27) And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child
Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law,
(28) he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,
(29) "Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word;
(30) for my eyes have seen your salvation
(31) that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
(32) a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel."

Luk 2:39 ESV

(39) And when they had performed everything according to the Law of the Lord, they
returned into Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.

Luk 2:41-42 ESV

(41) Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover.
(42) And when he was twelve years old, they went up according to custom.

Jesus and His parents kept the Law – going up to Jerusalem every year for Passover
and having Jesus circumcised on the eight day.

Joh 7:14 ESV

(14) About the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching.

Jesus Himself attends the Feast of Dedication or as we know it today – Hanukah.

1Co 5:7-8 NKJV

(7) Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are
unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.[3]
(8) Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice
and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Paul tells us to observe Passover.

Act 21:21-27 NKJV
(21) but they have been informed about you that you teach all the Jews who are among
the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children
nor to walk according to the customs.
(22) What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will[3] hear that you have
come.
(23) Therefore do what we tell you: We have four men who have taken a vow.
(24) Take them and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may
shave their heads, and that all may know that those things of which they were
informed concerning you are nothing, but that you yourself also walk orderly and
keep the law.
(25) But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they
should observe no such thing,[4] except that they should keep themselves from things
offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality."

Arrested in the Temple

(26) Then Paul took the men, and the next day, having been purified with them, entered
the temple to announce the expiration of the days of purification, at which time an
offering should be made for each one of them.
(27) Now when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews from Asia, seeing him in
the temple, stirred up the whole crowd and laid hands on him,

Paul offers sacrifices some twenty years after his conversion.

2Ti 3:15-16 NKJV

(15) and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to
make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
(16) All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

All scripture – not just your favorite sections. All scripture – meaning from Genesis 1:1 to
Rev 22:21.

Jesus did not nullify the OT – He fulfilled it. There is a big difference there. Jesus did
not say “Now that I’m here – you can throw away the Torah”. Hardly. He didn’t even
say “Now that I’m here – you don’t have to celebrate the feasts” because obviously
He did.
Dedicating a house is a biblical commandment
Deu 20:5 NKJV
(5) "Then the officers shall speak to the people, saying: "What man is there who has
built a new house and has not dedicated it? Let him go and return to his house, lest
he die in the battle and another man dedicate it.

Anointing with oil is used in conjunction with the dedication of a house

Exo 30:22-33 NKJV
(22) Moreover the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
(23) "Also take for yourself quality spices--five hundred shekels of liquid myrrh, half as
much sweet-smelling cinnamon (two hundred and fifty shekels), two hundred and
fifty shekels of sweet-smelling cane,
(24) five hundred shekels of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin
of olive oil.
(25) And you shall make from these a holy anointing oil, an ointment compounded
according to the art of the perfumer. It shall be a holy anointing oil.
(26) With it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting and the ark of the Testimony;
(27) the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of
incense;
(28) the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base.
(29) You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy; whatever touches them
must be holy.[1]
(30) And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may
minister to Me as priests.
(31) "And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: "This shall be a holy
anointing oil to Me throughout your generations.
(32) It shall not be poured on man's flesh; nor shall you make any other like it, according
to its composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you.
(33) Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on an outsider, shall be
cut off from his people."'

Exo 40:9-11 NKJV

(9) "And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it;
and you shall hallow it and all its utensils, and it shall be holy.
(10) You shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate
the altar. The altar shall be most holy.
(11) And you shall anoint the laver and its base, and consecrate it.

Lev 8:10 NKJV

(10) Also Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it,
and consecrated them.
