NORTEL NETWORKS, Valhalla, NY 1977-2002 Senior Manager Sales Engineering (2001 2002) Hired and managed 17 voice product engineers to seed 15 Verizon offices across the Northeast. This one-year project supported development of Verizons enterprise business as a key objective to achieving the operating plan. Quoted over $200M in the first year with over $25M captured and an additional $50M still being worked as open opportunities beginning year two. Provided multiple 1-3 day product training seminars in 9 key cities to expedite development of 300 Verizon sales and engineering staff. Partnered with Verizon management at the close of the first year to source experienced candidates for 15 newly created positions ensuring continuity of operations while achieving budget targets. Senior Manager Verizon Support (2000 2001) Managed 10 people providing general enterprise product support across the US to Verizon and Nortel account teams as well as selected projects for Verizon Solutions Inc international operations. Launched a centralized cross functional action center to expedite realtime resolution of customer delivery and service issues to support achievement of over $100M in new system sales. Established a project operations team at Verizons Network Operation Center in Dallas coordinating upgrades for 750 customer systems over 4 months with rave reviews by Verizon for its success. Coordinated the international support team implementing Nortel switching centers in the new Verizon global switching network connecting the US to Europe and the Far East. Senior Manager Centrex Service (1994 2000) Developed and managed a cross-functional support group for Nortel, distributors and direct customers in North America. Services included engineering, quotations, order processing, project management, training, service contracts, helpdesk, dispatch and professional services for call center products.

Created a database with timely information enabling proactive management of services for over 700 major customers including expertise for single point of contact support with options for distributor or user direct. Negotiated agreements with contractors, distributors and established single point of contact with other Nortel divisions for specialized services including training, maintenance, repair and professional services. Implemented key call centers for many of the Fortune 500, state and federal agencies, universities, and 911 centers including the New York and Los Angeles Police Department 911. Senior Manager Meridian Service (1987 1994) Managed a centralized group dedicated to support the new Nynex Centrex business. This included direct end user support as well as project management responsibilities for implementation of Nynex integrated call centers across business offices. Services included station surveys, database input, switch translations, job planning, training, cutovers, RFPs, documentation and support thru the sales process. Advised as the Nortel representative to the Nynex tariff team that established definitions of service for the first submission to the State Public Utilities Commission. Collaborated with Nynex sales and marketing teams to provide project management, customer support, contractor and professional services to large customers in the first several years of Enterprise Digital Centrex sales. Project managed the Nortel implementation of a Nynex internal business office call center management system that spanned all New York State with approximately 100 offices and 10,000 agents. The system has since doubled.

This included product specialist responsible for configuration review, RFP responses, quotes and new product development information.
