Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)


Samalkha Group of Institutions offers Two years, Full time PGDM program, which is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The course structure has been designed very carefully for providing enough scope to students for innovation and repeated experimentation depending upon the learning needs and demands for new understanding. PGDM program is designed on premise that a proper balance of theory and practice is required to help in the formation of managerial skills for effective decision making and problem solving in the ensuring global business environment. PGDM program is a broad program aimed at providing in-depth understanding to students in Technical Human and Conceptual skills necessary for a successful manager. Semester I and II introduces the student to the world of business processes and themes, where as Semester III and IV provides acute expertise in the functional areas of specialization selected by the students. SGI has evolved a comprehensive student centric approach consisting of several stages of instruction and evaluation, designed to add significant value to the learners understanding in an integrated manner. Program delivery involves: At least 30 Sessions of class room Instructions. At least 3 case studies, wherever necessary. At least two live projects in each course. At least one Reading seminar.

Students shall also participate in major management related conferences; undergo summer internship in India or abroad, Industrial visits, Group discussions, Role plays in addition to undertaking a Research Project in final trimester.

Objectives: The objective of quantitative research is to develop and employ mathematical


models, theories and/or hypotheses pertaining to phenomena. The process of measurement is central to quantitative research because it provides the fundamental connection between empirical observation and mathematical expression of quantitative relationships.
