Checklist for Health Science Major Students

___ Attend a Nursing and Allied Health Orientation. Orientation schedule is available online at: www.fresnocitycollege.edu / Courses & Programs/ Health Sciences Division / Orientation Review the Health Science Major Sheet for your career of interest (available in the Health Science Division Office, or Student Services Counseling Center or at: www.fresnocitycollege.edu / Courses & Programs/ Health Sciences Division / Major Sheets Complete a Fresno City College application for admission. Application for admission is available online at www.fresnocitycollege.edu / New & Returning Students / Getting Started. (BE SURE TO DECLARE YOUR MAJOR) Attend a New or First-time College Student orientation at www.fresnocitycollege.edu / New & Returning Students / Online Orientation. All new or first time students must attend. Complete a English and Math Placement Test. All first time college students must take the Placement Test. The test is given weekly in the Assessment Center. Test dates and times are available at www.fresnocitycollege.edu / Getting Started / Assessment Testing. Purchase a FCC Catalog in the FCC Bookstore or also available for view online at www.fresnocitycollege.edu / New & Returning Students / Catalog & Course Schedules. Make an appointment with a Health Science Counselor (see below) for Student Educational Plan or if you are transferring from another college and need to determine course equivalencies, or evaluate GPA. Please bring all college transcripts (unofficial transcripts are ok for a counseling appointment) and course descriptions to your appointment. Course descriptions can be found in campus catalogs or by visiting www.collegesource.org Register for classes on WebAdvisor at www.fresnocitycollege / Current Students / WebAdvisor. Students who have completed any courses outside of the United States will need to follow the Students with Foreign Transcripts To Do List for any courses being used to meet any Health Sciences major requirements and General Education requirements.
