---------------1. INSTALLATION ---------------You must have administrator rights to install this software. Run Setup.exe and follow the installation instructions. A reboot is required upon completion. However, if you are running it on a Server or Domain Controller, a reboot is not necessary and you might choose not to reb oot. If your product already has the latest Recognition Engine version you will see a message: "The upgrade cannot be installed as a newer version of the program is already installed." This means you do not need to install the update. ----------------2. COMPATIBILITY -----------------

This update is compatible with and needed for the following products. If your pr oduct is not listed, please contact Technical Support: DigitalPersona 4.4.2 DigitalPersona DigitalPersona DigitalPersona DigitalPersona Pro for AD (Server, Kiosk and Workstations) from Version 4.0.0 to One Touch for Windows SDK 1.4.0.01 and earlier Online (Server, Client, and Kiosk Client) 4.4.1 and 4.3.2 Platinum SDK/Integrator 3.x.x. One Touch ID SDK 2.1.1 and earlier

If your product is of a newer version or it already has the latest versions of t he Recognition Engine installed, then you will see a message: "The upgrade canno t be installed as a newer version of the program is already installed." This mea ns you do not need to install the update. ----------------------3. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ----------------------Minimum system requirements: - A DigitalPersona Product already installed (see the Compatibility section abov e) ----------------4. RELEASE NOTES ----------------This update includes the latest release of the DigitalPersona Fingerprint Recogn ition Engine. The new engines bring the security of DigitalPersona Pro to the ne xt level while at the same time allowing for the best user experience. For optim al performance with the new engine, the default False Accept Rate is now set at 1:100,000. If you are using DigitalPersona Pro with swipe-style fingerprint read ers, such as those embedded into laptops, depending on your system configuration , you may want to lower the value to 1:10,000 to allow for improved usability. T he new engine has been optimized ot allow for improved security without compromi sing the user experience.
