Biography: Engr. Sadia Sultana Likhan is a faculty of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department under College of Engineering & Technology (CEAT), IUBATInternational University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has completed her Bachelor degree (in EEE) from IUBATInternational University of Business Agriculture and Technology. Before joining IUBAT, Ms. Likhan worked in a Bangladeshi telecom company Grameenphone Limited as an intern addressing Spare Parts Management System (SPMS). Contact Hours:

Course Goal: Gain a practical understanding of analog and digital electronics. Learn the tools and techniques of practical electronics and circuit design. Develop an aesthetic, critical, and cul0tural framework for assessing electronic art practices.

Course Description:
P-N junction as a circuit element: Intrinsic and extrinsic semiconductors, operational principle of p-n junction diode, contact potential, current-voltage characteristics of a diode, simplified DC and AC diode models, dynamic resistance and capacitance. Diode circuits: Half wave and full wave rectifiers, rectifiers with filter capacitor, characteristics of a Zener diode, Zener shunt regulator, clamping and clipping circuits. Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) as a circuit element: current components, BJT characteristics and regions of operation, BJT as an amplifier, biasing the BJT for discrete circuits, small signal equivalent circuit models, BJT as a switch. Single stage mid-band frequency BJT amplifier circuits: Voltage and current gain, input and output impedance of a common base, common emitter and common collector amplifier circuits. In my course, the final course grade may be done by the impression either positively or negatively.
Attendance # Attendance is a mandatory. Class dozing is strictly prohibited. Student Behavior During the Lecture Period: 1. Hear the lecturer 2. Concentrate on what is being said. Students are advised to refrain from: 1. Engaging in conversation while the instructor is speaking 2. Making noises 3. Using mobile phone (Must switch off the mobile phone) 4. Violating language, dress & behavior code In general if you disturb the instructor or other students in any way you may be asked to leave. If you are asked to leave, you are required to make an appointment with the instructor to discuss the terms and conditions under which you will be allowed to continue attending lectures.
>> If any student behaves unruly, tells any falsification or disturbs in any sense, s/he may be evaluated hidden and thereby finally may be graded as F or lower grade without showing any reason by the Instructor whether s/he may be achieved any higher percentage in exams.
