Kalman, D.O., has joined Baptist Health and Lyerly Neurosurgery, located in the Baptist Medical Pavilion, Suite 1001. Dr. Kalman is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and also is certified by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jerseys School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his undergrad at Yale University. Dr. Kalman completed his residency in Physical Arthur D. Kalman, D.O. Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, and his fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the SpineCare Center at the University of Florida. Dr. Kalman was most recently a physiatrist in the Physical Medicine/Rehab Service of the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System in Gainesville. Dr. Masood spoke on Assessment of Quality of Breast Health Care and the Value of the National Accreditation of Breast Cancer. Dr. Masood was also recently asked by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers to continue to serve on the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers Board of Directors. Kevin michAel KAplAn, m.D., puBlisheD internAtiOnAlly Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute (JOI) physician, Kevin Michael Kaplan, M.D., has been published jointly with Neal S. ElAttrache, M.D., Oscar Vasquez, M.D., Jy-Jen Chen, M.D., and Thay Lee, Ph.D., in the internationally recognized medical journal, Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery, for an article titled, Knotless Rotator Cuff Repair in an External Rotation Model: The Importance of Medial-Row Horizontal Mattress Sutures. This article defines a new, advanced Kevin Michael Kaplan, M.D. procedure for repairing a rotator cuff tear, which includes the application of stronger suture materials to create a stronger bridge, or NET bridge, which results in a stronger repair than what is traditionally performed. The original repair procedure, or construct, was developed by Neal ElAttrache, M.D., states Dr. Kaplan, who I studied with at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Center (Los Angeles, CA) prior to coming to JOI.
