2. Course Details: 2a. Course Objectives:


1) To develop knowledge of basic concepts of Electrical Engineering. 2) To characterize, transform and use Active and Passive Elements in electrical engineering. 3) To familiarize with upcoming technologies by using different Electrical Theorems for solving complex electrical circuits.

2b. Learning Outcomes:


By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1) describe the applications of Kirchoffs Current Law and Kirchoffs Voltage Law. 2) define various types of Network Theorems like Thevenin, Norton, Reciprocity and Superposition for solving complex circuits. . 3) describe the structure, principles and applications of Transformers. 4) apply star-delta transformation techniques for reduction of Electrical networks.

2 5) formulate and analyze the Peak, Average and RMS values for alternating currents.
