Steam, light streaming through two deep windows becomes more, an illuminated shaft, diffuse and swirling within.

You are warm in here but wet, lighter than before, perhaps in a cloud. You find exit to the steam filled room with the urging of a light draught. Remnants of steam and a buoyancy of hot air rises with you, up a curving well of stairs. You continue up, up and around, lured by the promise around the curve, around and up you continue even as you lose your orientation, pulled upwards. (as you trail your hand on the cool stone wall beside you to find balance it feels other than you, grounded, still as you glide past. The wall ahead lightens, a gradient of white sunshine spills into the passage, as you follow it, brightening around the stair, a threshold appears. You duck your head below its stone brink as you move into the light. The steps below you change. They are lighter, not stone but steel, if you werent before you are definitely in the air now. You can hear the world below you, distanced by your elevation. The stairs tremble a little as you rise, the bright white canvas enveloping you stirs in the gentle wind and shifts just too much when you test it for resistance. You are so high now, the world below was left long ago and now as you ascend the stairs, your points of reference dissolved, you round a bend and glimpse an opening. You move just a little bit faster, almost there. Sky! You emerge, breaching the immaterial surface between you below and you in sky. Looking around you meet in perfect alignment with a smooth film of water extending out from your eye. The blue (azure?) and scattered tufts of cloud are reflected in this pool. To climb in would immerse you in the atmosphere of sky. You grab hold of a ladder rail and prop your foot in its hold, a second step gets you close enough to climb over the edge, plunge Or would you rather climb to the edge and dive in, saturate yourself in sky? .... submerged, boundary between water and sky is dissolved, endless depth of both.. your lightness in water allows you to roll and take in the sky above you, as you float on your back and drift across the pool, the distinction between water and sky is forgotten. Sound is atmospheric through your submerged ears. Your peripheral view reads sky reflected, above you, sky. As you drift through this infinite sky, all around, you have abandoned gravity and are floating. Floating for a time that feels immeasurable you continue drift, a convection current keeps you from nearing the pools edges peering over these might fracture your suspension in sense. The water runs right to the boundaries to meet the sky but a thickness below the surface prevents you from reaching it. Get out Freefall, weightlessness for an extended moment where time is flexible
