LIBA Celebrated Convocation Day 2011

For the students of Full -time, Part time and Executive Management Program Chennai September 19th 2011: LIBA (Loyola Institute of Business Administration) one of the top 10 B -schools in India held its convocation for Full-time, Part- time and Executive Management Program at its campus. The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 268 students. On this occasion Mr. D. Shivakumar, MD, Nokia, India, was the Chief Guest for the ceremony and awarded the diploma certificates to the students of full-time, part-time and executive programmes and it was also a platform to present meritorious achievers awards and prizes. Witnessing the momentous occasion, were all faculty members, parents, friends and relatives of students. Delivering his welcome address, Fr. Christie, Director, On Behalf of LIBA, Congratulated all graduates for successfully completing Post Graduate programmes and said Your diploma proclaims you to the world as postgraduates but it makes no mention of those intangible but sterling qualities that you have developed during your stay at LIBA. Your time spent in LIBA would have trained you to learn, apply, achieve, accomplish, challenge, unlearn and relearn. You would also have picked up important lessons in holistic life. Therefore you are the future leaders. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. D. Shivakumar, Managing Director, Nokia, India said, Success has to be sought, it has to be earned. Success is not about money and is just a by-product. Success comes out of vision, burning desire, taking responsibilities, passion, reputation, learning from mistakes, influence, and people skills. The Best Outgoing student award was given to Mr. Vasanth Kumar, sharing his excited moment said, It is indeed a pleasure to be selected as a scholar of excellence from a class of very competitive students. LIBA has given me the opportunity to learn more and was involved in many activities at many levels. The high standards of learning, teaching methodology and exposure to industry helped me become a leader. On this occasion LIBA presented overall excellence award PGDBM Full-time to Ms. Nancy Sachdeva. The other awards for executive program for PGDBM TCS e-Serve (Batch II 2007 -2010) was given to Ms. Priya , Executive PG program in Financial Services & Software Testing Maveric Systems Ltd (2009 2011) to Mr. Suyesh Choudhary , Executive PGBM - Technip (Batch III 2008 2010) Mr. Thanu, Executive PGBM Sify (Batch IV 2008 -2010) Ms. Virginia Benjamin ,Executive PGBM RBS (Batch III 2009 2011) Ms. Maria Nisha Lee and the Part Time PGDM was given to Mr. Hari Baskaran.
