Global NP Quick Breaks, will clean dirt and grime and remove oil by emulsifying it (breaking it
down into an ever decreasing droplet size). When the “quick break” is washed from the floor or
engine with water, the “breaking” action releases 92% of the oil within ten minutes, allowing the oil to
rise to the surface of the collection pit or separator, from where it can be recovered.

Global NP Quick Breaks will allow uncontaminated water effluent to be released into the
environment from oil/ water separators, interceptors and oil traps.

In addition to being quick-break, biodegradable detergents, Global Green NP and Global Grease
Cutter NP do not contain phosphorus.

High levels of phosphate encourage algal blooms such as toxic blue-green algae.

Phosphorus accumulates in the water bodies that receive wash down effluent such as mine site and
industrial effluent dams, rivers, lakes and sewage plants.

With water in increasingly short supply in Australia, re-use options are now almost critical in many
operations, and the presence of high levels of phosphate encourage eutrophication, that is a
shortage of dissolved oxygen due to the occurrence of algal blooms. In this oxygen depleted state,
outbreaks of toxic blue-green algae can occur, rendering the water not suitable for re-use.

The common response to a blue-green algae outbreak is to dose the water bodies with highly toxic
copper compounds, which are non-selective poisons and destroy not only algae, but also
phytoplankton and zooplankton colonies.

Global environmental issues surround the production of the phosphates that are used in detergents.
Detergent phosphates are mainly derived from the conversion of naturally occurring phosphates to
phosphoric acid. This process generates large volumes of undesirable waste throughout the world.

Phosphates are used in detergent formulations as a dispersant, and are present primarily to prevent
the re-deposition of soils to the cleaned surface. Totally organic and biodegradable synthetic amino
acids are used in the Global Green NP products to replace phosphate.

Both products are aqueous-based and are non-toxic and non-harmful to the environment.

Biodegradability

The surfactant package is comprised of linear chain surfac-

tants known to be rapidly degradable according to the fol-
lowing model. Primary degradation can be expected
within 6 days and total degradation within 20 days.

The formulation components either fall within the pa-

rameters for “soft” biodegradability, or remain as or-
ganic salts. Studies show that the LAS component is not
toxic at normal use concentrations, nor are they environ-
mentally persistent

A formulation breakthrough now means Global Green NP truck and floor wash detergent
can be supplied in a super concentrated form.

This means large savings in the cost to freight Global Green NP to remote locations such as
mine sites or overseas.

For example a 200 litre drum of super concentrate will make 1,000 litres of normal product.

 Why Use Quick Breaks
“Quick Break”
There is an ever growing range of degreasers, floor and truck wash detergents and ‘YOU
BEAUT’ products on the market today.

Some of these cleaning materials do an excellent cleaning/degreasing job, but the user is, in
many cases, unwittingly harming the environment.

Cleaning agents and detergents that do not have the correct “quick break” properties allow
oil-contaminated washdown water to pass to the environment through oil/water separators,
interceptor pits and oil traps that are all supposed to remove the oil.

By using Global Green NP washdown detergent for vehicle and workshop floor
washdown and Global Grease Cutter NP Degreaser for cleaning oil from engines, parts
and chassis, environmental contamination can be eliminated or, at worst, substantially
reduced.

“Biodegradable”
The clean water effluent released into the environment from oil/water separators, interceptors
and oil traps contains Global Green or Global Grease Cutter NP Degreaser. To be
totally environmentally friendly they must quickly biodegrade in the environment.

The action of bacteria breaks the molecular structure of the products and will totally degrade
them within as little as twenty-two days.

As a result, water storage ponds used for minerals processing can be much smaller in size.
With no detergent present foaming will not occur during processing.

Washdown water released to swamps and or land will be devoid of Global Green NP/
Global Grease Cutter NP Degreaser within a short period of time.

Both products are aqueous-based and are non-toxic and non-harmful to the environment.

PRODUCT USE
Global Green NP is a mildly alkaline general purpose cleaner that contains no
phosphorous and is designed to remove a wide range of soils, oil, grease, dust and
carbon from fixed or mobile equipment and workshop floors.

It is a fast working, non-flammable cleaner that is safe to use on all metals and will not
affect good paint work. It will clean and rejuvenate dirty concrete floors. It can be used
with a Global low volume foamer.

It’s quick break action allows it to be used for effective oil separation through effluent
treatment systems.

QUICK BREAKING - HEAVY DUTY INDUSTRIAL CLEANER

Global Green NP APPLIED TO MINE SITE TRUCK

Safe to handle and safe for the environment. After washing the truck, the water effluent is collected in the
washdown bay pit prior to processing through a gravity plate separator. All oil, grease and fuel washed from the
truck and emulsified by Global Green NP will break from the washdown water within ten minutes and will be
available for removal from the surface of the water.
