Abstract
A single paragraph written in third person, past or present tense (do not mix). This paragraph should state the objective of the experiment and briefly mention the methodology used to achieve the objective. A brief statement of the results should also be included. The abstract should stand on its own merit and should convey to the reader an understanding of what was done, why it was done, how it was done, and what results were obtained.

Results
Tables, graphs, equations, and prose may be used where appropriate to convey all of the results in the easiest to follow format; this section should consist mainly of visual representations of the results and use only a minimal amount of text. All plots must be created using a software package (i.e., MATLAB). Tables and equations must NOT be hand drawn. Appropriate software tools must be used to create all tables and equations (i.e., Equation Editor in Microsoft Word). Be sure to include %-error comparisons between theoretical/simulation/hardware and/or specification compliance results (i.e., PASS/FAIL) were appropriate.

Discussion
This section should contain only prose; the text should be used to explain to the reader any knowledge and/or information gained by performing the experiment. References may be made to the Results, but should NOT be repeated in this section. Answer all questions posed in the laboratory handout and by the TAs in lab. The discussions length should be limited to one page.

Appendix
Include any relevant material (i.e., graphs) that you cannot fit in-text. Also, be sure to include the hardware check-off sheet.

Guidelines
- Be sure to write the report in third person. (i.e. avoid using personal pronouns such as I, me, and my as they are not third-person perspective).

- Typed Reports are required. Absolutely no hand-drawn schematics will be accepted without point deduction. There is no reason why schematic diagrams cannot be drawn with the PC and embedded into lab write-ups. - Each student must submit an individual report based on an individual effort. dishonesty will not be tolerated. Academic

- Label all included tables and drawings with meaningful names. Use figure references wherever possible. For example, Figure 1.1: Differential Amplifier. In addition, it will greatly help you to learn how to use headers and figures in MS Word. Figure references should be centered either above or below the picture it is describing. Any material not originally created by the student must be cited in a standard and commonly accepted manner (MLA citation for example) otherwise the material is being plagiarized.
