Rotaractors of Holy Spirit attend Distas

Last August 28, 2011 the Rotaract District Assembly (DISTAS) was held at Sir Williams Hotel on Timog Avenue, Quezon City with the theme, Taking on a new wave of change. Four (4) Rotaractors from Holy Spirit headed by its President-elect Kevin Laragan attended the said event. Rotaract District Representative Virgil Patrick De Los Santos of RC Balintawak delivered his valedictory address as Rotaractor Margaret Robyn Montellano of RC Timog assumed the post of District Rotaract Representative for RY 2011-2012. Among the Rotarian dignitaries present during the occasion who conveyed inspiring messages were District 3780 Governor Jess Cifra together with his spouse Helen, DS Jess Tanchanco, DGE Penny Policarpio and DGN Francis Rivera who led the Induction and Charging of the new set of Rotaract Officers for RY 20112012. The Rotaract District Assembly 2011 was hosted by RC Metro Diliman.

PDG Danny Fausto briefs club members on the basics of Rotary

During its September 14 meeting, members of RC Holy Spirit listened to a well-researched talk of PDG Danny on the history of Rotary worldwide and in the Philippines, as well as on the interesting life of Paul Harris never before heard by most Rotarians. Indeed, RCHSs two new members Nonoy Solidum and Angel Castro and the rest of the clubs members were fortunate to have received such comprehensive detail on Rotary and its founder. Undoubtedly, PDG Danny is the best in the Philippines as far as Rotary education is concerned.

September is New Generations Month

During New Generations Month, Rotary celebrates its commitment to youth and young adults through Interact, Rotaract, RYLA, and Rotary Youth Exchange. Rotary clubs are encouraged to focus on youth issues and undertake projects that benefit young people around the world.

Sisterhood ties with RC Marikina North D3800 is renewed

The sister club agreement between RC Holy Spirit and RC Marikina North, RID 3800, was renewed at the latter's western-inspired 31st anniversary celebration held last September 6, 2011. The agreement was signed by President Ped of RCHS and President Dr Terry Amado of RCMN and will be effective for one year. After the signing, President Ped turned over four (4) cartons of various medicines and food supplements in support of RCMN's medical/ dental mission in Barangay San Rafael in Rodriquez, Rizal on September 10, 2011. Since the sisterhood ties were established two years ago, the two clubs have worked together in three (3) medical/dental missions.
