Jairraj Goberdhan, M.D., a 2006 graduate of the Family Medicine Program, Mercer University School of Medicine at The Medical Center of Central Georgia received the Awards of Excellence in the category of Outstanding Rural Health Practitioner. The Outstanding Rural Health Practitioner award recognizes a communityoriented rural health care practice, whether a group or individual physician, that has improved direct access to health care services and information for rural people through innovative, comprehensive approaches. The Awards of Excellence Reception/Dinner was recently held at Callaway Gardens Lodge & Spa in Pine Mountain Georgia on Monday, September 19, 2011. Again, we congratulate Dr. Goberdhan on a fantastic accomplishment.
