Overachieving Teenager

y name is Sungbin, and I am currently a junior attending an international school in Seoul. As the title of this section indicates, I am an overachiever, striving to achieve the best out of my current situation. My goal for the future is to become a veterinarian who is able to show compassion, love, creativity, and determination to her animal patients as well as her co-workers. I am sure that I will be able to achieve this goal if I follow the steps of my career plan. University Years After graduating high school, I aspire to spend my next four years of my education at a prestigious university that has an emphasis on biology or biomedical science. The college would be medium sized, and it would be located in the suburbs or a small town, preferably in the east coast of the U.S. During these undergraduate years, I would major in animal physiology and minor in psychology. By majoring in animal physiology, I would be able to have a taste of the studies I would have to pursue in my future academic career. Having a minor in psychology would help me socialize and communicate with the workers in the sphere of my professional life. First Career After I graduate, I would seize opportunities to intern at prestigious animal hospitals. I would also earn a graduate degree as the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After getting my Ph.D. and gaining sufficient handson experience, I would start my career by going to Kenya and working as a vet in a wildlife sanctuary. I would go to this country because Kenya is one of the few places in the world that have endangered animals and animals that are poaching targets. Some of these animals include the elephant and black rhino. By helping restore these animals population through my medical skills, I would be benefiting the world by using my talents and accumulating valuable experience. Transfer back to America In the wildlife sanctuary, I would cure the injured wild animals with my greatest care, and earn respect in the community. After working several years at the sanctuary, I would return back to America and work in an animal hospital known for hospitality and compassion for the animals. I would gain experience from other skilled doctors and coworkers in my work environment. The Climax After three to four years of working at the animal hospital, I would branch off and create my own hospital. My hospitals values would be based on have great sanitary facilities, care, and compassion for the animals. My staff would be chosen according to these values. For the first time, I would be able to exercise the experience and knowledge I gathered

from the previous professional experiences. I would be regarded with veneration in my community, and become well known in that area. However, I would not like to become too famous, as this would result in the accumulation of stress and pressure. In this way, I would improve the overall treatment of animals and make a bold statement that animals deserve the superior facilities, medical technology, and sanitary conditions that humans enjoy.
