Adam’s Story
I was born on November 3, 1981 in Columbus, Ohio. The Lord blessed me with the opportunity to be
raised in a Christian home. Thus, the earliest memories that I have of my childhood involve the Church and my
family’s commitment to faith. During my high school years, I began teaching and leading at my local church.
After high school, I attended The Ohio State University to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.
I continued my service to the Lord while at college by becoming a part of the leadership of a house church for
college students.
It was at this time that I felt a call on my life to pursue full time Christian ministry. Around this time, a
major milestone occurred in my life. On June 19, 2004, the Lord allowed me to marry my high school
sweetheart Cara Strong. In addition to being a wonderful wife, the Lord has gifted her to be a strong leader
and a dedicated Christian woman. We both share the same vision and passion for serving God’s people. Once
Cara and I graduated from The Ohio State University, we moved to Dallas, Texas so that I could attend Dallas
Theological Seminary. At Dallas Seminary, I am receiving the training necessary to build up and strengthen the
body of Christ.
Ministry
Objective
xz To pastor a church in order to lead them to become more like Christ and equip them to reach out to
the people in their lives to the glory of God.

Ministry
Philosophy
The place of the pastor is to lead the body of Christ through the presentation of God’s Word and the
living of a life that reflects its truths. This teaching will build up the body of believers in the knowledge of Christ
and his love, equipping them for every good work. As the church grows and matures, the lives of all of its
members will help spread the good news of Christ, both locally through evangelism and globally through
missions.
I always aspire to preach the Word of God in a manner that facilitates understanding and allows the
Holy Spirit to transform people’s lives. In addition to preaching, I also value the teaching of God’s Word in
small group settings. Throughout my years of ministry experience, the Lord has helped me to develop the lead-
ership skills necessary to serve the body of Christ effectively. I also bring a warm sense of humor and a gregari-
ous personality. In order to maximize the gifts that God has given me, I devote a considerable amount of time
to diligent and dedicated study of the Scriptures. Each of these characteristics helps form my genuine passion
for the lost and impacting them for Christ.
