metres; , the Mahabharat Lekh and Shiwalik Range dominate the region.
The hill belt includes the Kathmandu Valley that is the most urbanised and fertil area.

The Mountain Region has the highest mountain in the world: Mount
Everest located in the
border whit China.
Also have 8 of the 14 highest mountains and the 3 highest peak of the world:
Kanchenjunga

The features with more impact are:


The Himalaya because it blocks the winds that come from Central Asia and forms the
northern limit of the monsoon wind patterns
The mountains because they make the climate to change depending on the altitude and it
causes of the five seasons that Nepal experiments: summer, monsoon, autumn, winter
and spring
Also the Deforestation is a major problem in all regions, with resulting erosion and
degradation of ecosystems.

The mountains make the construction of roads and some infrastructure difficult and expensive

In the other hand, the hard geography attracts a lot of tourists.

Think about housing, diet, cultural influence and political institutions?

The houses are made whit stones and clay in the rural parts or/and with tight bamboo
framework with mud and cow-dung.
Its diet is based in the products they produce as rice, corn, wheat, sugarcane, root crops,
milk, and water buffalo meat
Its culture is influenced by the cultures of Tibet, and India
Its politics are based in parliamentary monarchy with the king as the head of state and a
prime minister as the head of the government.

Agriculture employs 81% of the workforce, services 16% and manufacturing/craft-
based industry 3%.
So it proves that is more agricultural.
And it is dependent of the trade of the products with, for example, Bangladesh.
