1st GRADUATE GRADUATE PROFILE

ENGLISH

A) Consistently reflects on the functioning of the writing system:

 Identifies and conventionally writes its name to locate where it belongs.
 Identifies the written form of the names of classmates. Employ this knowledge as a
specific reference for letter usage.
 He incorporates into his spontaneous writing (letters) according to the conventional
sound value they represent, even if he does it in a pre-alphabetic way (e.g., writing
"aioa" or "MAIOSA" for "butterfly").
 Identifies the sound-graphic similarities of words that begin or end with the
following words
 Same.
 Uses graphophonetic information in writing familiar words to read or write new
words
B) Becomes familiar with various textual types:
 Identifies the communicative purposes of different textual types (encyclopedias,
children's stories, regulations, advertisements, songs, newspapers, danger
warnings and simple forms).
 Find the differences in editorial resources and graphic distribution that characterize
the different textual types.
 Use the classroom library, select materials and use the home loan service.
 Complete the form to participate in the home loan of library materials.
C) Introduction to children's literature:
 Listen attentively to the teacher's reading of various printed materials.
 Expresses his/her opinion about the content of the materials he/she reads or hears
read.
 Achieves increasing fluency and expression when reading aloud.
 Identify the plot of a simple story.
 With the teacher's help, ask which elements are fantasy and which are real
elements in the plots of the stories.
D) Participate in the writing of texts:
 Uses writing to communicate information.
 With the teacher's help, reconstruct the plot of a story and establish
correspondences between the plot and the accompanying illustrations.
 With the teacher's help, they plan and produce original texts in which they select
the words to communicate an idea in writing, and avoid unnecessary repetition.
E) Participates in conversations and exhibitions:
 Expresses their opinions and listens to those of their peers.
 Exposes information to others and takes into account what they give him/her.
 Makes pertinent comments based on the information provided.
 Provides ideas for collective work.

MATH

a) In this phase of their education, as a result of the study of mathematics, students

are expected to develop the following knowledge and skills:
 Know and know how to use the properties of the decimal number system to
interpret or communicate quantities in different forms.
 Flexibly use mental arithmetic, estimation of results and written operations with
natural, fractional and decimal numbers to solve additive problems.
 Know the basic properties of triangles, quadrilaterals, regular polygons, prisms and
pyramids.
 Use and interpret different codes to orient themselves in space and locate places.
 Know how to calculate and express measurements in different types of units.
 Undertake processes of searching, organizing, analyzing and interpreting data to
communicate information in response to questions posed by themselves and
others.
b) The contents studied in primary education have been organized into three thematic
areas: Number sense and algebraic thinking; Form, space and measurement; and
Information management. In the first grade, the following will be encouraged:

Number sense and algebraic thinking alludes to the most relevant purposes of the study of
arithmetic and algebra:

 The modeling of situations through the use of mathematical language.

 The realization of different ways of representing and performing calculations.
Shape, space and measurement encompass the three essential aspects in which the
study of geometry and measurement in basic education is established:

 Explore the characteristics and properties of geometric figures.

 Generate conditions for students to enter into work with deductive characteristics.
 To know the basic principles of spatial location and geometric calculation.

Information management includes aspects that in today's society, besieged by a large

amount of information coming from different sources, it is essential to study from basic
education. Elementary students will have the opportunity to:

 Formulate questions and collect, organize, analyze, interpret and present the
information that answers those questions.
 Link the study of mathematics with the study of other subjects.

EXPLORATION OF NATURE AND SOCIETY

a) For this grade level, students are expected to:

 Recognize their personal, family and community history, the similarities between
living beings, as well as the components of nature and society in the place where
they live.
 Observe and obtain information on the natural and social components of the place
where they live to describe and represent their main characteristics and how they
have changed over time.
 Value the importance of taking care of their bodies and the environment, as well as
recognize themselves as part of the place where they live with a common past.

CIVIC AND ETHICAL EDUCATION

 Students are encouraged to strengthen a positive idea of themselves through the

recognition of their personal characteristics, the development of self-care attitudes,
the enjoyment of their individual capacities and their ability to get along with others.
 The aim is for students to develop attitudes of respect and equal treatment and
solidarity in the relationships they establish with others, to recognize diverse
personal and collective possibilities for overcoming conflicts and to understand the
role of rules and agreements for harmonious coexistence in the different spaces
where they participate.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

 Develop your ability to express yourself and communicate by building cognitive and
motor skills.
 Be able to adapt to and manage the changes involved in motor activity.
 Propose, understand and apply rules for coexistence in the game, sports initiation
and school sports.
 Develop a sense of cooperation.
 Learn how to take care of your health.

ART EDUCATION

 Recognize the possibilities of your body, value them and take care of them.
 Know and communicate, through the expression of their emotions and the use of
the qualities of sound, the forms of the body and its possibilities of movement,
valuing their presence in the environment.
