VULKANOSTRATIGRAFI
Stratigrafi Gunungapi
● Penyusunan sandi stratigrafi gunungapi berdasarkan urutan
kejadian agar evolusi pembentukan gunungapi mudah
dipelajari dan dimengerti.
● Pembagian batuan/endapan gunungapi dimaksud untuk
menggolongkan batuan/endapan secara bersistem
berdasarkan sumber, deskripsi dan genesa.
● Perubahan suksesi vertikal dan horizontal terjadi dengan
cepat.
Penelitian Gunungapi
● Inderaja & geomorfologi → Delineasi sumber erupsi, sebaran produk
gunung api.
● Pemetaan → Penyebaran, penentuan kejadian
● Interpretasi → Produk gunung api, urutan produk gunung api
● Peta volkanostratigrafi

Tujuan: Evolusi pembentukan gunung api dapat mudah dipelajari dan

mudah dimengerti.

Khuluk
Satuan dasar dalam pengelompokan
satuan stratigrafi gunung api.
Ciri-ciri :
– Kumpulan satuan batuan/endapan
yang dihasilkan oleh satu/lebih titik
erupsi yang membentuk 1 tubuh
gunung api
– Mempunyai nilai stratigrafi, meliputi
daerah luas terpetakan dengan
skala 1 : 50.000 atau lebih
– Sebaran lateral batuan/endapan
gunung api dapat berupa jangkauan
tidak terbatas/berbenturan dengan
sat lain melalui stratigrafi atau
struktur.

Gumuk
Bagian dari khuluk gunung api
terbentuk sebagai hasil sumber erupsi
pada khuluk gunung api baik erupsi
pusat maupun erupsi samping.
Ciri – ciri :
− Gumuk gunung api merupakan
bagian dari khuluk gunung api tapi
khuluk gunung api tidak selalu
mempunyai gumuk gunung api.
− Batas sebaran lateral suatu gumuk
dapat melampui pelamparan khuluk
gunung api.
− Gumuk dapat terdiri dari satu/lebih
satuan batuan/ beberapa daur
letusan gunung api
− Harus dapat terpetakan dalam skala
1 : 50.000 atau lebih.

Bregada
Satuan stratigrafi gunung api
mencakup sebaran batuan/endapan
batuan gunung api hasil letusan yang
terdiri dari 2 atau lebih Khuluk gunung
api atau berhubungan dengan
pembentukan kaldera.
Ciri – ciri :
− Bregada gunung api selalu
mempunyai khuluk gunung api
− Batas penyebaran khuluk gunung
api tidak melebihi batas bregada
gunung api.
− Bregada gunung api merupakan nilai
satuan dan terpetakan pada skala 1 :
100.000

Manggala
Satuan stratigrafi gunungapi yang mencakup
sebaran batuan/endapan hasil letusan-letusan
gunungapi yang mempunyai lebih dari satu
kaldera pada satu atau lebih tubuh gunungapi .
Ciri – ciri :
− Manggala gunung api harus mempunyai > 1
bregada gunung api
− Batas sebaran manggala gunung api
merupakan batas seluruh bregada gunung
api yang terdapat dalam manggala gunung
api tersebut.
− Manggala gunung api harus mempunyai nilai
stratigrafi dan terpetakan dalam skala 1 :
100.000

Busur
Satuan stratigrafi gunung api
yang terdiri dari kumpulan
khuluk, bregada dan manggala
gunung api yang mempunyai
kedudukan tektonik yang sama.
Ciri – ciri :
− Busur gunung api merupakan
rangkaian kesatuan tingkat satu
stratigrafi gunung api yang
merupakan kesamaan tektonik.
− Harus dapat terpetakan pada
skala peta 1 : 1.000.000 atau
lebih
