The fundamental dimension of Ecad can attained through activities that would enable children to learn to respond, explore, express and communicate their ideas using imaginations. Through this area of learning children learn human values, drama, music, rhythm and movement. The arts are a major form of human communication and expression, Children make use of art to explore, express and communicate ideas, feelings and experiences. They provide a major means of personal artistic pleasure offering children with immediate satisfaction and serve as a basic for lifelong enjoyment. Through the arts children develop verbal and physical skills. Logical, intuitive thinking, Interpersonal skills, rhythmic, aesthetic, spatial visual and kinetics awareness are also developed. This promote emotional intelligence, children can easily express their feeling and emotions. This also develops the child self-confidence and self-esteem. This make also the child feel valued. Through creative arts children can express their feeling e.g. when a child usually uses the black color that can reveal something about his feeling and emotions. ECAD enable child to develop expressive and imaginative thinking and logical deduction. It also promotes aesthetic skills in children, whereby which come to value and appreciate beauty, shapes and colors.

DRAMA
Drama is an excellent means for developing creativity and imagination in young children. This is a mean to encourage children to explore their senses and be engaged with the body. The child develops the fine and gross motor skills. Drama is a tool to help child to communicate well and learn new vocabulary. Children are taught to develop their skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Drama helps the child to socialize among peer groups and teacher. They learn to participate in group and accept their friend regardless to gender, caste and age. They develop self-esteem and self-confidence. Children are exposed to foreign languages and through this exposure they become familiar to the language. Children learn what is wrong and right for them and for others through drama. Children also communicate and represent objects, ideas and experiences creative through physical movement and using a variety of art media. Drama has an introduction, body and conclusion.

VISUAL ARTS; Creative arts are not at forms that create works which are primarily visual in nature such as drawings, paintings, printmaking, design and crafts. Through creative arts children are exposed to paintings, construction, collage etc. This enables them to develop expressive and imaginative thinking.

MUSIC, RHYTHM AND MOVEMENT Music is one of the most important areas of creative expression for young children. Learning to listen to music, to sing or to experiment with musical instrument is a way to express them.

THE REPRESENTATION OF OUR DRAMA which is used as a tool for children to learn.

A group of four teachers worked on this story

(The

clever mouse deer)

We selected this story so that our children may develop certain skills and love the art of drama. All the areas of learning can be developed through this role-play. As teacher we have noticed that through this play children will learn to greet their friends, help friends and show concern for others.

The areas of learning to be developed

Personal social and emotional development:
The child will learn to work in group, to socialize among friends and teacher. Children will develop a positive self-concept and will build self-confidence and selfesteem. Children will learn to be courteous and respect other by accepting the differences and make decisions based on fairness.

COMMUNICATION LANGUAGE AND LITERACY: Learning of new vocabulary (e.g. name of animals- cow, deer, crocodile, rabbit) Learning of pronunciation-intonation and grammar Develop reading skills (the cow is near the river)

HEALTH AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT: Develop gross and fine motor skills. Hopping like rabbit crawling like crocodile. Learn safety from wild animals

Precaution to stay away from dangerous animals

MATHS AND LOGICAL THINKING:

Develop the concept of color e.g. the river is blue, the tree trunk is brown. Counting of the animals in the play Concept of space (under the tree, near the river) Concept of size( the cow is big and the rabbit is small)

BODY AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS Develop listening skill Develop the senses of touching ( the texture of the masks) Observing skill to be able to identify afterwards ( the animals) Role play of animals

EXPRESSIVE CREATIVE AND AESTHETIC DEVELOPMENT Learn the technique of rubbing Cutting and pasting Folding of birds Rubbing on rough surfaces Printing with animals Painting with different techniques Imitate animals and create own movement

MY ROLE IN THE PLAY: THE COW

This is a role play regarding a cow who had many friends and who at time is very generous to help others. The cow helped the crocodile who is trapped under the fallen tree. The cow uses all his effort to lift the fallen tree from the crocodile back. Instead of thanking the cow the crocodile caught the cows leg and bit it. The cow was in great pain and pleaded the crocodile to let him go but the bad crocodile refused and fortunately the cows friends the deer and the rabbit came to save the cow. THE DIALOGUE OF THE COW

COW: I am fine but now I am going near the river to graze COW: OH, you are trapped under the fallen tree COW: yes, yes why not COW: moo, moo I am in a great pain COW: please, save me I helped him earlier, now is hurting me and wants to eat me. COW: thank you my dear friends you saved me from the crocodile.

Children while acting the role of cow will learn to greet their friends; they will imitate the movement of the cow e.g. the grazing of the cow and also the mooing. Children will learn new vocabulary e.g. tree, river, Friend, crocodile. They will develop moral skills of helping their friends at school especially those who are younger than them. Children will develop emotional feeling when the cow is in pain and is suffering. A feeling of fear to be ate by the crocodile. Children will learn math concept under the tree, near the river. They will develop the touching skill of the tree trunk. Children will be in group, group learning will take place, communicating skills and hearing.

THE TECHNIQUES I USED IN OUR BACKGROUND: We worked in group of four teachers and each one help in a way and another. I used the technique to paint the picture of the cow using tissue paper. We used the tearing of brown paper to glue on the trunk of the tree. I also used the vegetable printing on the upper part of the tree. Each technique is used so that we as teachers may implement these techniques in our school. Children love new things and these techniques will arouse the curiosity and creativity of these children. Some other techniques were done at school and some samples are attached in the annex.

MY REFLECTION ON WHAT I HAVE LEANT AND HOW I WILL USE THEM IN MY TEACHING:
During this module, I have learnt many techniques of visual arts and drama. Personally this has helped me, as I had the occasion to play in drama in front the class and this has given me this opportunity to perform in front of others. This is my first experience to perform in front an audience in a drama and I have a bit of fear within me. Even though it is difficult for me I am obliged to do so because of my friends. My friends have helped me to work in group and to participate in group. This has helped me to have much interaction among friend and to share thoughts and ideas. We have learned many skills such as communication, pronunciation, intonation while talking. My good pronunciation will help the children to pronounce words well. I am hence making me not so perfect but good in my works. Drama helped me to use it as a tool to develop all the areas of learning in the children. It is used as an integrated approach in all domains. Now that I am used to it, it will be easier for me to innovate and create drama that will reflect children own life. Visual arts techniques helped me to perform many activities in classroom and children were fascinated to do new things. The rubbing activity helps children to explore new things in their surroundings. They were excited to rub on any surface in the classroom. The cutting and pasting activity of small bit of colored paper make children create name for their creation. These types of activities help us to become innovative and creative. Now when I will work with paint I will carry my activity better than before. As all the areas of learning may be develop through this activity. AS teacher I will understand better that when I give and of visual art what can be my objectives and now how precise I can be while writing. I will know what to do and what are my aims and objectives. Before this course I did painting in school but I did not integrate all the areas of learning but now it seem clearer to me.

CONCLUSION
Drama is something that may bring a child to love school because the child will be free to express his needs and feelings. Through drama children can learn better in group participation rather than alone. Children may learn many concept easily e.g. any math concept through drama and art. These are methods where children wont be bored but indeed this will help better development. The child will be the master of his learning. He will learn by himself and will be autonomy.
