A specialization will always earn you more salary as well as priority during interviews and of course sound grip over subject. There are many master courses which are available. Go for M-Tech if you want to retain your study and want to do some research. -M.Tech: you can get admission into some world renowned colleges such as IIT's and bits by appearing in the exam called GATE which is for the admissions into master degrees. You can visit http://www.iitk.ac.in for details regarding GATE... If you have an aptitude for managerial kind of work, then you can go for MBA. For MBA you can appear in the test such as CAT for IIM's as they are the best places for it and also through GMAT, MAT and XAT exam. The salary package by pursuing it may be increased to 80,000 to 1 lac. - In fact MBA students can choose from four different program options, ranging from 12 to 24 months, and a wide variety of curricular options to build a customized degree program. For those looking for accelerated training, with a minimum disruption of their career path and maximum value, the 12 month option is the most intensive and shortest degree program. For students who want to gain more work experience or to change careers, internship and specialization modules can be added to create an MBA tailored for each students needs and career goals. Customized programs can be completed within 17 to 24 months. Non-technical post graduate courses.

If you are interested in job, you can venture into these areas ECE/TCE branch is decent to have an offer of job as there is great demand in core companies for core branches.

You can be offered job's regarding your branch after 6th Sem i.e., on-campus placements but if not then you can apply placements papers in companies such as HCL , TATA , INFOSYS , CTS ,etc You can go for junior engineer or GPO in Communication streams or telecom companies like BSNL, AIRTEL, AIRCEL and many more. You can go for jobs in S/W sector such as BSNL,MTNL,TCS,CTS,INFOSYS,Wipro etc Find a job in Govt sector like JTO. You can also start up a company where u can do projects of electronics on contract basis... Indian Engineering Services (ES) are the Technical Services that meet the technical and managerial functions managed by the public sector which extends to a fairly broad segment of the economy covering the Railroads, Military, Public works, Power, Telecommunications, etc .A combined competitive examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC); for recruitment to the Indian Engineering Services (IES). Non-Technical / Off-beat Jobs: Career opportunities not linked to engineering, if one treats ones degree like a normal graduation degree. E.g., DJ, VJ, Fashion Designing etc.
