DESCRIPTION OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM

The existing process in assessing the academic learning of the public high school students used by different schools is by the use of a test questionnaire, answer sheet and a pencil. The examination was based on the five academic subjects namely; Filipino, English, Mathematics, Science and Araling Panlipunan. Each classroom was accommodated by 30-40 students and one instructor that will supervise the students while answering the test. The instructor will give the answer sheet first to the students to answer the personal information provided on it. The answer sheet is good for the five subjects that they will take. The answer sheet is answerable by shading letter of the correct answer. The instructor will then give the test questionnaires for the first subject to take. After giving the instructions, the students may start the examination. The students were given 50 minutes to 1 hour to answer. After the first subject, students must return the questionnaire to their instructor to have the next one. It was repeated process until they are done with the five subjects. The students have a break time after two or three subjects taken depending on their instructor. After all the subjects taken, students will return the answer sheets to their instructor. The answer sheet will be checked by a machine. Then the students will receive a copy of the result of the examination after a month. It will be given by their school adviser.
