Solar system

Alejandra oquendo
Where is the sun located?

The Sun is a 4.5 billion-year-old

yellow dwarf star – a hot glowing
ball of hydrogen and helium – at
the center of our solar system.
It's about 93 million miles (150
million kilometers) from Earth
and it's our solar system's only
star.
Why does the solar system
have their name?

There are many planetary systems

like ours in the universe, with
planets orbiting a host star. Our
planetary system is called “the
solar system” because we use the
word “solar” to describe things
related to our star, after the
Latin word for Sun, "solis."
What is the sun mostly made.
Explain

The Sun is a huge ball of

hydrogen and helium held
together by its own gravity.
The Sun has several regions. The
interior regions include the core,
the radiative zone, and the
convection zone.
Mention the characteristics of
each planet

Mercury. It has a diameter of 4,879.4

kilometer.
Venus. It has a diameter of 12,104 kilometer.
Earth. It has a diameter of 12,742 kilometer.
Mars. It has a diameter of 6,779 kilometer.
Jupiter. This is the largest planet.
Saturn. It has a diameter of 116,460 kilometer.
Uranus.
Neptune.
Why is Venus hotter them
Mercury

Even though Mercury is closer to

the Sun, Venus is the hottest
planet in our solar system. Its
thick atmosphere is full of the
greenhouse gas carbon dioxide,
and it has clouds of sulfuric
acid. The atmosphere traps heat,
making it feel like a furnace on
the surface.
Why do we always see the same
face of the soon

However there is no 'far side of

the Sun'. Unlike the Moon,
which spins once for every time it
goes around the Earth, constantly
presenting us with the same side,
the Sun spins once every 24.5
days and the Earth moves
within its orbit so that over the
course of about a month we get
to see the entire surface.
Explain where do the colors of
the moon come from?

The varied colors appear when

the moon is seen or
photographed through
stratified and irregular gas
layers of Earth's atmospheric
blanket. Tiny air molecules in
the layers scatter light that hits
them, and their structure causes
blue light to scatter more readily
than red or orange.
What is the difference
between solar eclipse and
moon eclipse

A solar eclipse occurs when the

Moon passes between Earth
and the Sun, fully or partially
obscuring the Sun's disk. A lunar
eclipse occurs when the Moon
passes through Earth's shadow,
fully or partially darkening the
lunar disk.
Which are the most
important moons

Moon: Europa. Parent Planet: Jupiter.

Moon: Io. Parent Planet: Jupiter.
Moon: Mimas. Parent Planet: Saturn.
Moon: Enceladus. Parent Planet: Saturn
Moon: Triton.
Moon: Iapetus.
Moon: Phobos.
Moon: Titan.
When we will have a solar
eclipse

The next time Earth will witness

a total solar eclipse is April 8,
2024, and has been dubbed "The
Great North American Eclipse"
as it will be visible throughout
North and Central America.
