PSALM 24

(seed thoughts.)

V 1-2. DECLARATION. The earth is the Lord's. GENESIS 1-2I . In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. JOB 38:4-6. Where waste thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hath understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof. Read through Job 39. JOB 42 v:5-6. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye Seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. Job repented of his sin and was reconciled to God and was more than fully restored in health ,wealth and family JOB 42:v12-13. So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three daughters. ISAIAH 41 v 10 . Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. ISAIAH 43;1011. You are my witnesses says the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He, Before Me there was no god, neither shall there be after Me. I even I am the Lord and beside Me there is no Saviour. God had no beginning and like the angels He is immortal. ISAIAH 43:25. I, even I, am he that blots out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. So we have a great God who created this world and set therein a multitude of people and provided for their every need. He sets before us a high moral standard of life which, if we will abide by His desires for us will indeed bring us health, prosperity, peace of mind and everlasting life with Jesus Christ as our King. V3. QUESTION. "Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? PSALM 15: v2-3. He that walks uprightly and works righteousness and speaks the truth in his heart. He that backbites not with his tongue nor does evil to his neighbour, nor takes up a reproach against his neigbour. PSALM 27 v1. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? PSALM 27 v:4. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me, He shall set me up upon a rock. ours is a mighty God who forgives sin and reconciles us to Himself through Jesus Christ. Let us worship Him in sincerity and truth. V 4. QUALIFICATION. He that has clean hands and a pure heart." PSALM 18:v20. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. PSALM 4:.v 3, 5 ,8.But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him. offer the sacrifice of righteousness and put your trust in the Lord. I will both lay me down in peace and sleep. For You Lord only make me dwell in safety. Who shall have eternal life with God ? those who have repented of their sins, been forgiven and go on from strength to strength in worshipping God and following His rules and cleansed by the shed blood of Jesus. King David knew how to approach God in repentance. PSALM 51 v 13. Have mercy upon me 0 God, according to your loving kindness, according to the multitude of Your tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions and my sin is ever before me. Read all of this Psalm.

V5. TRANSFORMATION. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord. PSALM 32 V l-2, 5,7. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity and in whose spirit there is no guile, I acknowledged my sin unto You and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord, and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. You are my hiding place, You shall preserve me from trouble. You shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. V 11. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice you righteous and shout for joy all you that are righteous in heart. We found a peace that we did not know before our conversion. JOHN 14 v 27 ; Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. What a grand transformation takes place when a person is in a right relationship with God. The blessings are endless. PSALM 28 v 7-9 ; The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusted in Him and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices and with my song will I praise Him. The Lord is their strength and He is the saving strength of His anointed. Save Your people and bless Your inheritance. Feed them also and lift them up for ever. V 6. DEMONSTRATION. This is the generation of them that seek Him. Psalm 37 v 3-6 ; Trust in the Lord and do good so shall you dwell in the land and verily you shall be fed, Delight yourself also in the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgement as the noon day. Can people see a big change in you since your conversion, ROMANS 12 v 1-2 ; I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. So those who will enter the new Jerusalem after the rapture of the church and the tribulation will have been doing the following ; PHILIPPIANS 4 v 8 : Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. The Apostle Paul could also say, Those things which you have both learned and received and heard in me, do, and the God of peace shall be with you. V 7. ADORATION. " Lift up your heads, 0 you gates and be you lift up you everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in" This is still future but the Christian looks forward to that great day when he shall see God and Jesus and join in with the throng in songs of worship to them. God will be seen in all His glory. PSALM 72 v 18-19 ; Blessed be the Lord God of Israel who only does wondrous things. And blessed be His glorious name for ever, and let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen. PSALM 63 v:1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. 0 God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; v 2. To see your power and your glory so as I have seen You in the sanctuary. v 3-5 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus will I bless You while I live, I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. V 8. REVELATION. Who is this King of glory The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. God is the Lord of all creation. He is Omnipresent, He can be everywhere by His Spirit. JOHN 14 v 23 ; Jesus answered and said to him, If a man love me he will keep My words, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him. PSALM 139 v 7 ; Whither shall I go from Your spirit or whither shall I flee from Your presence ? If I ascend up into heaven You are there. If I make my bed in hell, behold Youare there.

JEREMIAH 23 v 24 ; Can a man hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him ? says the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth says the Lord. God is Omnipotent. All powerful, almighty. GENESIS 1 v 1 ; In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. God is Omniscient. PROVERBS 15 v 3 ; The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good. NAHUM I v 1-8 ; V 9. CELEBRATION. And the King of glory shall come in. God and Christ will reign for ever with the saints in the new Jerusalem. Let the gates be thrown open that the saints may go in and out being blessed by God as they worship Him. PSALM 30 v I ; I will extol You 0 Lord, for You have lifted me up and have not made my foes to rejoice over me. PSALM 35 v 27-28 ; Let them shout for joy and be glad that favour My righteous cause, yes let them say continually. Let the Lord be magnified which has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long. V 10. EXALTATION. The Lord of hosts He is the King of glory." God is holy. LEVITICUS 19 v 2 ; I the Lord your God am holy. Just. Fair and impartial. DEUTERONOMY 32 v 4 ; A God of truth and without iniquity. Faithful. 2 TIMOTHY 2 v 134 ; He abides faithful He cannot deny Himself. BENEVOLENT. PSALM 145 v 9. God is good to all and His tender mercies are over all His works. Merciful. EXODUS 34 v 6-7a. The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, abundant in goodness and truth keeping mercy for thousands and forgiving iniquity and transgressions and sins. Reconciliation was made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Repentance to and forgiveness by God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Then the new convert is expected to obey the statutes of God as the Holy Spirit makes the Scriptures understandable to him. Lead me gently home Father, lead me gently home. When life's toils are ended, and parting days have come Sin no more shall tempt me, Never from Thee I'll roam. If You will only lead me Father, lead me gently home.
