For thousands of years, education has been an integral part of society.

But is it the single most important factor in the development of a country? In my opinion, I totally agree that education is now becoming the most important factor in the development of countries and give these following reasons for why this is true.There are many definitions of education but in a simple way, education is an act or process of passing on or gaining general knowledge, building the ability to reason and judge, and generally training oneself or others mentally for matured life.Nowadays, with the high growing of worldwide economy, talented people are extremely needed for all countries in order to develop its economy in such many fields of life. In fact, no country can achieved human development, a sustained economic growth and a political stability without attaining near universal basic education.Education provides the foundation upon which stable nations are built. A great scholar, Bacon, said "Knowledge is power." Then, where does knowledge come from? How do we obtain it? The key answer lies in "education". Through the education, it will have the power to develop a country. Education can teach us how to be a real man, how to get along with others in the society and also can make talents to let countries power stronger. Effects of education on the development of a country mainly reflected in three aspects. The first is the economic growth, the second is stability and fair in politics and the third is the population and employment in society. Nowadays, when our world is constantly developing in the area of economics, in every fields there are strong growing need in experienced and talented people who will be able to make significant contribution in the economy of the countrys life. Thus, it is important to say that education plays a significant role in the development process of countries. For example, English is a very important language for us to learn. With enough fluent employees, a company opens its business up to more countries around the world. Without having to hire a foreign interpreter, the country has more potential profit.The per capita income depends upon the state of economy which is directly proportional to the literacy rate in a country. The economy of a country mainly depends upon the able economists who formulate such economic policies which play an effective role in the progress of the country. The fact remains that the able and competent economists are produced only if a country has a sound system of education. Besides that, the failed economic systems will have its negative effects on all the other fields such as the health care, industry, agriculture, defense, and so on. Let we take up the example of health care first. The hospitals are the ultimate place for the indisposed. If country's economy is weak, it would be difficult for the government or the private sector to set up more hospitals to cater to the health care needs of the nation. In directly, the weak physically or the ailing nation would not play any role in the development of its mother land. Moreover, the health care itself depends upon education in the sense that able and competed doctors could only be produced if the country has evolved and effective and viable education system. A weak education system means incompetent doctors who get degrees in medicine and surgery through the back doors. Such doctors would not be able to serve the ailing humanity because of their incompetence. Hence, education in a way is directly linked to health care.

Next is industry. Industry of a country places a very vital role in the development. More industries mean more progress as more products are produced which not only cater to the needs of the nation itself but can also be exported to earn foreign exchange for the country. Industry depends upon the capable engineers and technicians who only can be produced if the country has a good education system. Infrastructure of a country, it is believed plays a central role in the progress. In this connection roads are very important as the transportation depends upon these. The highways connect cities with on another whereas the farm to market roads is very important to transport commodities. The constructions of the roads depend upon two major factors. The quality of the material used and honesty of the personal engaged in the construction. Since the education makes one realize that impurity in such material would not bring positive results, the educated would certainly avoid doing so and the engineers and other technical staff would also work hard to build the best possible roads using all their expertise. A country also needs a good educational system to produce its own doctors, lawyers, engineers, and professors. By not importing professionals from other countries, the country will ultimately keep the money in its economy. Electronics and print media also plays a very important role in the development to a country. An honest and educated journalist would not write about which might cause the disintegration of the country or collapse of the system favorable to the nation. Now, let talk about the effect of education in the aspect of agriculture.Education is vital for economic development, because it can eradicate poverty and it allows people to be more productive. An adult with a primary education earns twice as much as an adult without any schooling. For instance, educated farmers who can read the agriculture instructions get more skills to farm well, which results in a growth in agricultural productivity. These educated farmers know how to water, apply fertilizer more efficiently, and finally they harvest more crops which results in a higher income. In Niger, the incidence of poverty is 70% in households headed by adults with no education, compared to 56% for (households headed by adults) who have been to primary school. In Uganda, four years of primary education raise a farmers output by 7%. It is the foundation for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary to participate in and benefit from globalization and technological changes. In additions, education is important in a country to invest a big part of the profits. This is because in many countries, governments prefer to invest in weapons without thinking that they should give another direction to the resources from the military where war and win is the most important thing. The government is blind, and they want to see first in the outside than in the inside, when there are more important things to fulfil like basic needs including food, clothing and shelter. Education also generates political stability. This is important for democracy, which makes it possible for people to be responsible and informed citizens to have a voice in politics and society, which is essential for sustaining democracy. This is because people can give their opinions and be a part of the country. It also provides people with the knowledge and awareness needed to promote tolerance and understanding among people. Now, a country needs people with the power of decision and if they are educated, they will have the right to change the bad things and to improve the ones that are good to be the better.

In all countries especially developing countries, government should run their country by themselves. So, developing education is the best way. There are famous saying "If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day; if you teach the man to fish you feed him for a lifetime. In some countries, the government invests a big part of the profits in weapons but it is really waste time and money. The long investment is in education. With a good education system, people can study easily; they can overtake the newest technology and then apply it in their life. Edward Everett said that "Education is a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army". The educated nations are our only hope to end the problems that we fail to solve today. We must give them the necessary tools so that they may improve the world in ways we could never imagine. Countries need a lot of things for their future. Thereby, educated people must good at many things, such as communication and also to know how to improve themselves. First of all, being good at communicating which has some advantages for people are very urgent for todays life .It brings people a lot of feasibility and success. For example, at work people get on well and behave each other suitable. They find possibility and become successful .But if they do not do these, they might be hopeless and destroy their future. For these reason, people can have a good communication thanks to only education .To sum up, having good education opens people new door in their work and give them many things for their life. In the light of the above mentioned reasons, a country cannot develop without the education which requires an essential communication and improving themselves. After receiving a sound education, we can exert our potential to the fullest and make more contributions to our communities. Consequently, society can reach a higher level of culture and become more prosperous as most of the citizens are well-bred and welleducated. If all citizens can receive a sound education, I believe that the country will become more competitive and win more respect from other countries in the world. The importance of communities has always been the strength of our nation, but lately the idea of community involvement has weakened and our economy has been affected by the lack of our unity as a nation. Imagine the effect that would result from getting children involved in the community at an early age. Our progress as a nation can be no swifter than our progress in education. The human mind is our fundamental resource." John F. Kennedy said. By getting our children involved in the community they will be taught the importance of unity and team work. They will grow up and create communities that thrive economically. Besides that, education also important in improved foreign relations with different country. As we have been taught to be more tolerant of each other from young age, we will grow and become leaders that are more tolerant of foreign nations. With the positive attitude and the ability to work together that we will gain, the leaders of tomorrow will be better equipped to improve upon diplomatic relationships between foreign countries. Education not only gives people sufficient knowledge but also orients human dignity. How can our country develop if there are many of social crime such as murder, bank robbery, and rape cases? Of course, every person possesses good qualities along with bad ones, but higher education gives us an opportunity to develop our better sides by providing our society with members, whose aim will be to contribute to the countrys development.

Education can culture good citizens. A country with good citizens will contribute to developing the country. Well-educated people are often respected and have a better chance to get a good job. Besides than that, once they become parents themselves, they are most likely to provide their children with a better environment and access them to education. All of the advantages can prevent the citizens to become criminals in the society.The importance of education is well evident in developed countries as it plays a major role in personal and social development. Education has been used as a means to alleviate poverty, oppression, and war as the leaders are well equipped with knowledge to guide the country towards growth. Furthermore, education makes up the conscience and makes one realize that the social evils definitely eat into the vitals of a society. The illiterate or less educated society has the corruption rampant in various forms like bribery, jobbery, nepotism and others. On the contrary, the educated people realize that the society cannot be reformed unless these social evils are eradicated from the society. This realization comes only and only with the education. A developing country needs education to eradicate these evils because it yet to rank among the developed countries. If the society is breeding this evil, it would become extremely difficult to put the country on path to progress. All the while, education is our greatest investment to our children. We cannot continue to leave the future generations of this country with a staggering bill for the mistakes that we have made in the past. Through the correct educational reformations, we can once again provide our children with the encouragement that they need to change the world. People who have quality education are able to improve the society by making reforms that will cause economic, social and political growth and development of the society.In conclusion, among many things needed for developing our country, thanks to what education has dedicated to our past, present and future that we have gotten our achievement. Put simply, no education means any society. Without a society, a country cannot develop. Education is at the core of everything relating to modern life.
