Genesis Chapter 2: The man (Eth-ha-Adam)

*Good Day to you. GOD Bless you, say welcome to this family Bible study hour. Hey were ready to get back in Our Fathers Word. The book of Genesis: Ba-resh-ith in the Hebrew tongue, meaning in the beginning. There was an earth age before this one, which many things will carbon date otherwise into millions of years; and its explained right in GODs Word. Were opening in chapter two on the 7th Day. GOD has already created male and female in the image of GOD and the ELAHIM, which is to say GOD and his children. What God is saying, lets just make them the way we lookhere. Naturally, everyone had to pass through this earth age to receive salvation. With that being said chapter 2 verse 1, lets go with it

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 1: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

*Think about this for a moment and let it sink in. The heaven was finished and the earth was finished, and the host of them. What does host mean? Lets go the Hebrew manuscripts its (H6635: Tsaba:

).

Pronounced, Sa(Za)-Baw which actually is feminine and it comes from H6633; which is a mass of persons (or figurative things) especially regularly organized for war (an army). Its the family of GOD. What does that mean? Stop and think. The heaven was finished the earth was finished and the people were finished. That is to say the souls were ready for this earth age. Now GOD had created animals, fish, and birds; then he created man and looked at every race and saw it was really good. Verse 2

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 2: And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

*What is one day with GOD? Peter would say in 2nd Peter Chapter 3. I would have you not ignorant to the fact that one day with GOD is a thousand years with man. So GOD really would of rested a millennium. Verse 3

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 3: And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

*He was pleased with it. Verse 4

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 4: These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens

*This word generations better translated means history because were talking about heaven and earth, not entities. So this is the history of the earth; meaning back to Genesis verse 1 and 2. In the beginning GOD created the heavens and earth period. The earth became void and without form. So GOD is saying this not only the history of this earth age and the age from before back in chapter 1. Verse 5

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 5: And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

*To till the ground means to farm it. Heres where you want to be really careful. We had men and woman that GOD created on the same day (on the 6th day) and that is to say he created male and female at the same time. He let them have liberties to harvest the wild game and the crops, but never did GOD give one of those (that is to say races) the duties of farming (tilling the ground) to be a husbandman of the soil. Verse 6

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 6: But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

*Until the flood of Noah, we still will have a firmament overhead. You may have wondered where all that water came from. Verse 7 really important, were going to take a lesson in Hebrew grammar

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 7: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

*Not created, formed. Now there is something quite different about this man and the man as mentioned in 27th verse in 1st chapter. It would probably serve you well if you wrote these down. Those with Companion Bibles you dont have to, your appendix 14 will already have

it recorded for you there: http://www.levendwater.org/companion/append14.html. Adam without the article as it utilized in verse 27 in chapter one, means man or mankind. Theres no gender even involved in it. As a matter of fact many times from the manuscripts Adam is translated man, when the word in the Hebrew is (H120: Aw-dawm: ) without the article. Now in this particular verse (7) this man has the article Ha-Adam and with the article it denotes the man Adawm to till the soil.

Adam without the article Ha which translated is Z in English; without the article denotes human or mankind. It doesnt mean the Adam which CHRIST would say he was the Son of Adam, because it would be this Adam (Ha-Adam) through CHRIST would come; not the man created without the article in verse 27 of Chapter one. To go one step further, again Adam without the article denotes man or mankind in general; Adam with the article denotes the man Adam and there is something that is more specific than that.

Adam mentioned in this verse not only has article but with the particle (Eth) and with the addition of Eth the particle, its very emphatic. Plus, with the particle, article, and Adam it is super emphatic; which means we are talking about The Man . For simplification purposes the particle is Eth, the article is Ha (which is THE), and Eth is always emphatic whether talking about Israel, the church, the family etc. (thats grammar from the Hebrew tongue). So now you can separate the man as mentioned in verse 27 in chapter one and man in verse 7 of Chapter two. Just to drive home the point we have Eth-Ha-Adam , which is emphatically tiller of the ground, the man, which CHRIST would be called The Son of Adam.

CHRIST would even be called the second Adam from 1st Corinthians chapter 15. What does Adam mean in the Hebrew tongue? It means ruddy complected. The other races where created on the 6th day and there was a ruddy complected man on that day as well. For the 3rd time Adam without the article denotes man or mankind, but in verse 7, Adam with the article denotes the man Adam . GOD even goes further than that so you get the distinction; he places the particle Eth before the article (Eth-Ha-Adam) which makes it very emphatic, so that you wouldnt go wrong. You should now understand the distinction between the man tilling the soil and the man that hunted and fished in Genesis chapter one. He chose this man because through this specific genealogy of Adawm; would come CHRIST. Thats important because this would bring forth the savior and round out GODS overall plan.

The different forms of the Hebrew word 'adam. (Note: The Hebrew characters are reversed from our English and read right to left):

: 'adam is man, any man, men, mankind. : haa-'adam with the Article is the man. : 'eth haa-'adam with the Article & Particle is this particular man Adam. Verse 8

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 8: And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

*Not created, formed. Verse 9

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 9: And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

*The Tree Of Life is Our LORD JESUS CHRIST and the tree of knowledge of good and evil which is satan (lucifer), which would come into play in the next chapter in The Garden of Eden; this is well documented in The Hebrew manuscripts. Just look up the words touch in the Hebrew and beguile in the Greek, which is easily located in your Strongs Concordance. satan (lucifer) knows how to be good which is documented in the 14th chapter of Isaiah and the Ezekiel chapter 28, hence the name the tree of knowledge of good and evil is given. So now we see both JESUS and satan were in the Garden. Verse 10

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 10: And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. Verse 11

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 11: The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. Verse 12

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 12: And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. Verse 13 Genesis Chapter 2 verse 13: And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

*If we were to by the geographical locations that what we know as Ethiopia as today, you can began to fix some of these rivers that could have been part of the area. Verse 14

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 14: And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

*This is why many people feel the Tigris and Euphrates are location of the Garden of Eden. Verse 15

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 15: And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

*Note: In the Hebrew manuscripts the man is Ha-Adam, check it out for yourself when you get a chance. The easiest way to get a copy of the manuscripts in English is to get a hold of the Greens Interlinear Hebrew and Greek Bible. Thats the man GOD put in The Garden. Verse 16... Genesis Chapter 2 verse 16: And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat.

*Feed yourself, we still do today. Verse 17

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 17: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

*Did Adam die in the day he ate of the tree? No, he didnt. Did Eve die? No, she didnt. Not instantly, remember how long a day with The LORD isA thousand years (2nd Peter Chapter 3). NO one ever lived over one day, which is a thousand years and after the fall no one passed that mark. Verse 18

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 18: And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

*Here we got Adam in the Garden and GOD created male and female, back in Genesis chapter one. This should also confirm in your mind that GOD is talking about two different peoples here and GOD does not differentiate between them. Hes not talking about classes here. This is one reason that you should never tag racist on to this. It rather

protects the races whereby you can understand Our Loving Father created us as we are and as GOD stated he looked and saw it was good; but we got one man here that doesnt have a female. Its Ha-Adam. Again, GOD created male and the female in verse 27 of chapter one, simultaneously. We got Eth-Ha-Adam without a wife here. Verse 19

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 19: And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

*We know from chapter one GOD created the birds, fouls, and the animals before he ever created man. Now, it says he created man HaAdam and here GOD is creating some more animals and bringing them to Adam to name them. Adam then had created the animals that he would utilize to till the soil (farm), that is to say domestic animals (horses, donkey, chickens etc) after he created the man. Its important to note these things because its clearly written in The Word Of GOD and it helps you make the division whereby we see that GOD does not play favoritism with his people, hes simply setting aside one that would come the Savior whereby all races following The Savior can have eternal life. There was no curse put on any people, its a sin to teach people that certain actions of these adamic people that brought about certain races. GOD doesnt deal in un-natural acts. He doesnt curse innocent people. He created every race the way it was on the 6th day and it was good. Verse 20

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 20: And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

*Beast of the field means living beings of the world and Adam is still alone without a wife. Verse 21

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 21: And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof.

*He had surgery basically. Verse 22

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 22: And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

*Make a note of the word rib. The word rib in the Hebrew (H6763: tsay-law', tsal-aw':

) simply means curve. Man has

something else more in the line of genetics that decides male and female, which we have learned through medical technology in past several years and its called DNA. Did you know DNA has a curve? Have you ever heard of the helix curve? It is very possible that this is the correction that GOD made whereby he created a help mate for this one Adam as the female on the 6th day brought forth a womb in this soul that would enable each of the hosts to be born of woman innocent; not remembering anything before to decide whether if they would love GOD or satan. You have to say GOD put more curves in the woman body than man. Verse 23

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 23: And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. *Who took her out of man? Do we have an article here? Yes. Verse 24

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 24: Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

*Thats very important and why marriage is a union. Verse 25

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 25: And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

*They had done nothing to be ashamed of. Unfortunately in the next chapter sin does enter. Credit goes to Pastor Arnold Murray: The Shepherds Chapel.
