Introduction:
Public relations as a concept was critically evolved in a business and industry and it subsequently spread to other areas of human activity. This profession is immensely applicable in government and public institutions like Corporations, Municipalities, Universities, Hospitals, professional and social service organizations. Public relations is never a monopoly of PR practitioners. In fact members of an organization and especially those in leadership, management and supervisory positions have a very important PR role to play. Public:
Public is a group of individuals having similar interest, likes, and dislikes, goals and circumstances. Public has its own likes and dislikes which sometimes can even be strong. This public can be classified into two types: 1. Internal public: Internal public is a public which are directly related with the organization, like employees, owners etc.
2. External public: External publics are indirectly related with the organization, like brokers, investors, wholesalers etc. In short public is any group of people who share a common interest.
Relations:
Relations are the outcome of mutual understanding which is derived from the process of sharing of the common interest. The need to establish relation with one another is created because of human wants. The respective wants of two individuals will affect their relationship. To understand any relationship, one must understand the wants of those involved.
Public Relation:
By the integration of the above two human element i.e., public and relations we get Public Relations. It is profession that is a part and parcel of management function.

In this company we visited Mr. Ashish Garg. He has done MBA & PGD in Advertising and communication management. He works as an assistant manager of corporate communication department. This department established in the year 2004-05. This corporate communication department looks after all the activities of Public Relations department. Mainly the
functions of PR are allotted to 2 persons who can be called as a controller persons of PR department.
For creating the goodwill, Kalpataru undertakes various activities such as: goodwill Sales promotion Customer care services Various activities, to maintain good and healthy relationship with the employees. Various exhibitions for the external public Product or service promotion.

MEDIA:
Selecting the appropriate media:
Client service is the very important in relation with any organization. For maintaining good client service it is also important to select best and appropriate type of media. All public relations efforts should have specific objectives. That objective, together with the message, the audience, time and budget should determine the choice of media. Still, an advertisement or public service announcement does not constitute a controlled communication because the creator generally has control over its message. Kalpataru mainly uses two types of Medias for client servicing: 1. The print Media: under the print media company uses: A. Press Release: The head of PR department handed out or mailed the information to the media on behalf of the company. Due to quick and effective response from news release the company also uses new release. B. Booklets and Brouchers: The company publishes the booklets and brouchers of the company, which gives detailed information about the new plans, policies of the company. This booklets is also helpful for the clients. 2. Outdoor Media: Outdoor media basically consists of all the audio and visual media. Like the use of internet, TV, radio etc
Use of these types of media is very much helpful of the company for providing the good services to the clients. Good relation with the media is always helpful for every organization.
Employee relation:
As per as PR is concerned the employee relationship means sharing of organizational information among the employees. It is the process of establishing relationship, commitment and management while designing an employee communication program the PR department must focus on understanding the composition of the employees to whom the communication is directed. Kalpataru synergy also maintain the healthy employees relationship Training programs: When, any new product or service launched by the company or any new policy introduced by the company to adjust with these new things company always held the training programs for their employees. This training program helps the employees to do the work very correctly and with the interest, and it also work as a motivation to the employees. Training program also helps in developing the employees standards, their knowledge, and to improve their involvement in each type of work. EX.: R&D training program. Meetings: Kalpataru synergy always held the regular periodic meeting for their employees. Meeting is a face to face communication between the employer and employees. It is very much important and necessary for every organization to follow and apply the government rules and regulations in their organization. The government relations, its interference, different policies, rules influence the organization work. So the good government relation is very much helpful for the company, which can be done through good PR connection.
The government relations cover bothe the local and the state level as well as the national level. Besides this the vocernments relations include : (a) Help in preparing and directing corporate appearances before investigating bodies of legislative hearings. (b) Direct programs design to promote the companies point of view in regulatory matters. (c) Report trends in government affecting the company. So a PR & Government relation is very much important for every organization.
