Manufactures vinyl windows and doors for residential new construction and remodel markets. Engineering Manager, 2005 to Present Recruited to help open new company plant in Yuma, AZ, guiding the startup from building construction, equipment implementation and commissioning. After startup, I continued in a more traditional Engineering Manager role with full responsibility for product development, maintenance activities and IT. Key Results: Played a key role in ensuring the successful launch of Yuma plant. Onsite Project Manager for Associated Materials during construction and start-up phases. Responsible for budgets and timelines. Opened plant on time and within budget. Project scope: 220,000 sq/ft manufacturing facility with 6 window/door production lines and one insulated glass line. Project Manager and team lead for a company-wide EAM software package. Configured and imported all existing plant equipment, PMs, work orders and parts from disparate systems. KANE MANUFACTURING, INC. KANE, PA

A highly customized, sales driven organization producing security screens, barriers, prison doors, cells, and secure recreation areas. Director of Engineering, 2000-2002 Screen Division Business Manager, 2002-2003 Originally brought on to direct the engineering departments which consisted of product, installation and manufacturing engineers. Soon after, the company split into two divisions, screens and detention. I was promoted to Screen Division Business Manager to run the sales, engineering and operations groups that fell under the screen umbrella. In 2003, with sales dropping in both divisions, the President recruited a Vice President of sales to take over Screen and Detention product sales and I was then moved into the role of Director of Engineering/Operations. Key Results: Played a key role in product market research, development, testing and certification. P&L responsibility for the Screen Division and later P&L responsibility for the operations cost center K2. The need quickly became apparent that a company-wide project management software solution was needed to consolidate multiple silos of information into a singular location that allow better communication between the operations, sales and engineering groups. With no budget to fall back on, programmed a custom database tailored to Kanes needs. Drove multiple engineering programs aimed at reducing customer and production drawings from 9 weeks to 3 weeks. Improvement were derived from standardization, better cross-functional communication and a singular project management database the provided real time data on job progress. Responsible for operational budgets, capital requirements, and business plans. IT responsibility for Kanes 3 manufacturing sites. Director of Engineering/Operations, 2003-2004
