At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor of which 8 years should be in Associate Professor Grade, with experience in Educational Administration. Or 2. Comparable experience in Research Establishments, Institutes of Technical Education or in Government Administrative Services. Or 3. 15 years of administrative experience out of which eight years as Deputy Registrar (with PB-3 G.P. Rs. 7,600/-) or an equivalent post. The minimum requirement of 55% marks shall not be insisted upon in the case of existing incumbents who are already in the NIT System. A postgraduate degree in Engineering with at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade. A Degree in Law/Management. Considerable experience in educational administration, financial and accounts management and capacity to lead the administration in a residential institution and knowledge of computer and web-based administration. Proven experience in excellent human relations and successful personnel management, industrial relations, campus management and other aspects of administration, preferably in a large educational or R&D institution. All round ability to co-ordinate and lead a team of Officers with varied expertise.

For the post of Assistant Professor, prior experience of teaching / post-doctoral / industrial / research is considered desirable. 6. Reservation will be as per Government of India rules. 7. Ph.D. is compulsory for Science and Humanities disciplines. 8. Exceptionally talented candidates with M.Tech. degree will be considered only for appointment as Asst. Professor on contract for 3 years or till award of Ph.D. degree, extendable by 2 more years on recommendation of a second selection committee. 9. The performance and progress of Asst. Professors on contract towards acquiring Ph.D. degree will be monitored continuously and the appointment shall be terminated if progress is not found satisfactory at any stage. 10. The contract position will be regularized w.e.f. date of acquiring Ph.D. degree. 11. The appointment for the post of Registrar will be on Deputation/contract basis for a period of five years or till age of 60 years whichever is earlier. The appointment can be renewed for another term. 12. Officers under the Central/ State Governments holding analogous posts or with at least 5/8 years service in posts in the comparable scale of pay as per Central Pay Commission or equivalent, respectively, and having experience in administration, establishment and accounts matters, will be considered for transfer on deputation for the post of Registrar. 13. The eligible qualifications and experience for the posts notified would be governed by the guidelines issued by MHRD from time to time. Academic Reimbursements and Incentives for faculty members: In addition to normal pay and allowances as applicable to the Central Govt. employees stationed at Warangal, following additional incentives are also available to the faculty members:1. Full funding for attending national conference either for presenting a paper or chairing session as per Institute guidelines. 2. Financial assistance up to Rs. 3.00 lakhs in 3 years under Professional Development Fund. 3. Reimbursement of telephone charges up to Rs.750/- per month. 4. Honorarium of 15,000/- per month to the teachers who have obtained Bhatnagar Award OR are having fellowship of two national Academies. A faculty member is entitled for only one honorarium. 5. General information: 1. Mere fulfillment of minimum qualification and experience requirements does not entitle any candidate for interview call. Short listing criteria may be set higher and narrower than the minimum advertised. 2. Depending on perceived availability of qualified candidates, different departments may set different short listing criteria. 3. Apart from merit, the specialization of a candidate within a department will play a vital role in selection, candidate with specialization in greater need by the department being given preference. 4. Experienced and/or meritorious candidates may be granted higher than starting pay on recommendation of selection committees. 5. The advertisement is to be understood as merely an indication of existing vacancies or vacancies likely to arise. The Institute reserves the right not to fill any or all of the vacancies notified depending on the exigencies of the situation. Candidates may be offered lower posts than the posts they have applied for. The Institute also reserves the right to shortlist the applicants to be called for interview and also to fill-up the consequential vacancies arising out of the selection process. 6. Candidates without Ph.D. degree (in the concerned branch) may be considered for the post of Asst. Professor in Engineering Departments on contractual basis. They would be considered for regularization, as per the current norms, after obtaining the Ph.D. degree. However, the maximum contractual period is only Five years. Candidates possessing M .Tech. / M.Sc.(Tech.) in appropriate branch may be considered for recruitment on contract basis for the position of Assistant Professor of Physics, in case if candidates with Ph.D. are not available. 13. Candidate without Ph.D. degree will be encouraged to enroll in the Institutes Ph.D. programme.

14. Candidates applying for the post of Asst. Professor in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English are required to have cleared NET/SLET or qualified at GATE. Those without NET/SLET or GATE may be considered for the post on contractual basis for a maximum period of three years. However, they would only be considered for regularization on clearing NET/SLET or qualifying at GATE. 15. Candidates who are unable to attend the interview for being abroad will be considered in absentia. A specific request giving sufficient justification must be made in advance. Such candidates of shortlisted may be interviewed via video conferencing. 16. Candidates pursuing Ph.D. need to enclose a reference letter from thesis supervisor indicating status of his project. 17. Any other details may be submitted in a separate sheet. 18. Candidates who have applied against Advt. No. 2/2008, 2/2009, 5/2009 of the Institute need apply afresh. However, the application fee against old applications will be refunded. 19. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from the candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview or selection.
