CLONING W600i TEMS: 1. Tools required: a. SETools3 Box (refer to: http://ucables.

com/ref/SETOOL3/) with Setool2 Software (I have used v0.91380089, but can do with latest one as well) b. SE Cables for W600i Phones c. Computer with Windows XP Pro 2. Firmware required for W600i R1E, find here: http://rapidshare.com/files/224717700/w600i_R1E_35744500948466.rar a. read_44000000_02000000_35744500948466.ssw, size: 18,600KB b. read_50000000_02000000_35744500948466.ssw, size: 7,142KB 3. Preparation: a. Install the SETool2 - v0.91380089 program including box driver, SE cable driver, etc. b. Plug in the SETool3 Box and SE Cables as well, make sure all works properly with correct drivers. c. Prepare your W600i commercial phone with fully charged battery, no SIM Card inside. 4. Procedures a. Run SETool2 - v0.91380089

b. Select the COM Port according to cable port allocation. c. Select Phone Type W550/W600. Somehow it is need to be set as W550/W600 Old, but surely I dont understand how to identify it. d. GO to Settings Tab, set the followings: i. COMPLETE PHONE AFTER FLASH ii. FORMAT GDFS WHEN WRITING iii. UNLOCK AFTER FLASH

iv. DISABLE SWITCH TO USB INTERFACE v. ALLOW TO CHANGE IMEI WHEN UNLOCKING

e. Go back to Sony Ericsson Tab, press Add button to select the firmware to be flashed: i. Appoint and select first the main firmware: read_44000000_02000000_35744500948466.ssw ii. Appoint and select the file system: read_50000000_02000000_35744500948466.ssw iii. Make sure the files are in above order. Do not select the file system at first position! iv. Do not connect the phone on this stage!

Press the FLASH button, connect the cable to the phone then insert the battery. Somehow its will phone pre-boot failed, but do not worry, will be ok later.

g. With the phone remain connected and battery inside, press again FLASH button. h. Somehow it will necessary to press phone POWER button for short time to get phone booted, but if the process will failed again, or the phone display will go ON, then pull out the battery, insert it back etc. The booting process is bit tricky, somehow need a combination of pressing FLASH button, connect the cable, insert the battery etc. Do this step until your phone get booted and flash will start.

Wait until all blocks flashed well, for both main firmware and file system, and you get the instruction to change the IMEI, that means getting back phone original IMEI.

Just click OK, do not change IMEI number, otherwise you will not get back your OTP IMEI. k. Wait until it is finished and phone detached.. l. Release the battery and the cable, insert the battery back and switch ON the phone. Wait until asked to insert the SIM CARD m. Turn off the phone, pull out the battery, insert SIM CARD, put back the battery turn it ON again. n. You got the new born W600i R1E TEMS now.. Good luck, parto.tegal@gmail.com
