REPORT ACCOMPANYING THE ESTIMATE FOR “PROVIDING

FLOORING WITH TILES TO WORKSHOP FOR UTILIZING AS COMMUNITY

HALL IN T.G.P. CAMP COLONY AT K.R. DAM.

Estimate: Rs.5,00,000

The Government of Andhra Pradesh have recently launched a project by name “21st
Century Gurukulam” with a good intention that the students of rural area get benefiting with
day-to-day changes.

As a part of developmental activity for rural areas, Andhra Pradesh Government have
decided to establish an institute in Kandalaeru Project area. In this connection,
S.V.University Vice-Chancellor, Chairman for Higher Education Department, District
Collector and Superintending Engineer, SSLC & SB Circle, Nellore, along with Member of
Legislative Assembly of Rapur inspected the dam site on8.2.2007 in the first instance.
Subsequently, a team of members from Higher Education Department of Andhra Pradesh
visited dam site along with Hon’ble Minister for Information, Public Relations and Tourism on
26.5.2007. They have decided to make use of the existing buildings in K.R.Dam. As a part,
workshop shed proposed as class rooms and mechanical sub-division office as mess, after
getting necessary renovation work done, accommodation for 100 Nos., of students and 12
Nos., of staff in the quarters of T.G.P. camp colony at K.R.Dam.

In this regard a meeting was conducted in the Hon’ble Minister’s presence with Zilla
Parishad Chairman, Nellore, Nellore District Collector, 21 st Century Gurukulam Co-ordinators
and Executive Engineer, SSLC & SB Division No.2, Nellore.

Annam.Ramnarayana Reddy in the Lr. Dt: 10.07.07 as requested to convert to vacant
sheds (in Mechnical work shop Area closed) available to use as community hall duly
repairing them and funds will be allotted from ACDP Funds.

In this context, the fact is that the construction of quarters, store shed, and
mechanical workshop sheds etc., were constructed during the year 1985. The formation of
Kandaleru Earth dam bund was completed during the year 1997. The workshop yard and
store yard and sheds were utilized by the then Mechanical staff. After 1997, there is no
maintenance activity in workshop as well as store yards. Major part of machinery kept idle
was sold-out by. conducting auction. At present only major part is left out @ work shop yard.

Hence, this estimate is prepared with the following provisions.

1. Removing of top plastering of damaged flooring and keep away the material as
suggested by the Department.

2. Flooring with best ceramic tiles of size specified by department to an average

thickness of 7.30 mm fixing on over cement mortar bed in C.M. 1:5, 25 mm thick
including cement vendoring in C.M. 1:1, 4. mm thick including cost and conveyance
of all materials and labour charges etc., complete for finished item of work.

Eartth work excavation and depositing on bank with an intial lead of 10 M and lift
of 2 M in H.G Soils for foundation of W.C, Septic Tank etc.
Cement Concret 1: 4: 8 using 40 MM F.P meteal including cost and converynce
of all meterials and labour charges etc. complecte
Brick masarary in C.M 1: 5 using country Bricks including cost and converyance
of all meterials and labour charges etc. complete.
Plastaring with cement mortar 1:4 20MM thick including cost and converyance of
all meterials and labour charges etc. complete for finished item of work.
Supplying and fixing of 50 MM ( 2") Dia G.I pipe for perlins and main rafters for
W.C Sheed including cost and converyance of all meterials and labour charges
etc. complete for finished item of work.
Supplying and fixing of A C Sheet Roofing in cluding fixcing of "J" Bolts of 4"
length with leather washers including cost and converyance of all meterials and
labour charges etc. complete for finished item of work.

Rates:

Rates are calculated as per current SSR for the year 2007-08 and local market rates.

Programme of work:
 The work is to be taken up during 9/07 and will be completed in 09/2007,

Funds:

Funds are allotted from District Collector’s funds from ACDP fund vide Dist. Collector
